I’ve been to 3 Disney hotels before, I’d say all 3 are the most ‘budget’ ones of the Disney hotels.
I’ve been to Davy Crockett. I was only about 15 so can’t remember a lot of detail and a lot may have changed, but you ideally need a car if staying here to be able to get between hotel and park.
I’ve also stayed at Santa Fe which is the cars themed hotel. Again, I can’t remember much of the detail, but it’s an ideal location as about a 10 minute walk along the river walk to get to the parks and there is also a free shuttle.
Same with hotel Cheyenne (see my 1st Disney video if you haven’t already as this has a room tour and shows a bit of the hotel grounds). I like this one as it’s got Woody and Jessie visiting for character meets, I like the restaurant and the theme. Also love the pony rides and again this one is about a 10-15 minute walk along the river so an ideal location. There are other hotels a bit closer to the parks but they do seem to go up in price
