Thank you, thank you! The part where the seal follows Liam's boat, looking at him with her sad, dark eyes, is my favorite part of the movie. You're happy for Nuala, being free, and sad for Liam's loss, all at the same time.
Seems my father and sister then are dark ones, and shows of the selkie blood. When I'm more of the French side of our blood. At lest I have my Great Grandfather's long limbs!
Yes. It definitely has nothing to do with the Iberian Spanish or Moorish peoples who would've traveled to, and traded and intermarried (or other) with the people who lived in Ireland in ancient times. I wholeheartedly agree and join you in your stance that the dark Irish are clear and obvious evidence of and due to selkie blood. I mean it's 2023 so by now we have the scientific evidence to prove it. The DNA studies have been done and the research backs it up 100%.👍😹 It's just surprising how few people seem to have heard about that. Or maybe it just wasn't that big of news cuz everyone knew it all along anyway.😂👍
Poor nuala and liam as well their children nuala found her skin again COMPLETELY by ACCIDENT the daughter didn't know aby better which was why she asked her mother about it.

I adored this movie as a kid. So beautiful in every way.
“Welcome back fiona”. Always gives me chills
She is you and me. Seeking our past.
This is my favorite part of this scene... where the selkie is following Liam. It's happy but sad all at once.
"Most at home at sea." The husband in the tale is not particularly wicked. He means no harm. He can't help but do wrong. Desire is the force at work.
All people that have dark hair and dark eyes from Ireland or have irish blood, are related to selkies. I declare that now

A beautifully tragic story indeed.
Most at home at sea 🌊
I’ve heard that Black Irish are the descendants of the Spanish Armada who washed ashore after the battle. That or Merchants from the Barbary coast.
Eh, that's just what they say Everyone who knows anything knows it's the selkie bloodlines! 😹👍
I saw this movie. I loved it. It's magical and delicious.
What happened to his other children 🤔
