I dont understand why people make fun of you if your parents died bc its very sad and you probably dont know how it feels. My dad died and im not getting bullied for it or smth but some ppl did make fun of it. I hate this generation :(
Kids don’t really understand how hurtful words can be, sometimes kids are just copying people they hang around with, other things like the saying “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me” is kind of a stupid saying if you don’t give a child context. Sure the child may understand that if someone says something mean about them they should just ignore it, however it could also trick the child into thinking they can say anything since if words can’t hurt them then why would it affect other kids? Heck when I was a kid I was pretty blunt too, I didn’t bully anyone, but I likely accidentally hurt another kid’s feelings by saying or doing something without realising. The best thing to stop kids from doing stuff like this is to teach them, especially during this stage in their life since it’s easier for kids to learn manners at earlier ages, just be careful with your words in case the child misinterprets something you said that may lead to problems. Because teaching kids basic manners should lower the chances of them being incredibly rude and disrespectful when they become adults.
