This is also quite a nostalgic machine for me; my family had a model 8975 (dark blue and gray) back in the mid-2000s, and it served us well for a few years, until the handle release pedal broke. I started to learn how to maintain a vacuum thanks to this machine. Back then, I also recall a neighbor owning one of these in dark green; theirs had a plastic, “blow-molded” hose, whereas mine had a wire-reinforced stretch hose.
That's so cool that's definitely the first cleanview i have the 8975 and it was made in 2004 i only had to change the motor on it and now it works great it sounds like that cleanview
I had the 8975 model loved it I remember they was 39.99 at Walmart back in the day and it was decent vacuum lasted us for years until we got our dog the dog hair didn’t get along too well which I took it to my grandmothers house to use on her front porch I might still have it I do remember having to change the motor out as it went but can’t remember if i kept it and idk why but every time I see ur videos or watch them u make me wanna collect BISSELL 😂
Back then in elementary school, one of my teachers had this vacuum in their classroom and it ran smoothly similar to this. The motor does sound like the Powerglide Ultra and standard Powerglide as it is the first generation Cleanview. Later models switched to the low pitched Korean motor that the Powerforce models have. Many of these have their motors shot as the filtration was poor in these machines. This is a rare find from a machine that had a good motor in it.
Very nice Bissell Cleanview bagless 8990) sounds very nice definitely a nostalgic vacuum for me despite not owning one. If I can find one used or new old stock, I’ll definitely buy it and use it
I hope you enjoy the Vacuum and one favor to ask is please take good care of it. reason, I sold it to you is because I wanted the vacuum to go to an appropriate collector, considering its age and condition
I’ll be honest, this whole time I thought these older cleanviews had that dusting brush that has the brush slide off & become an upholstery tool, kinda like the Momentum/Pet Hair Eraser Dual Cyclonic/Velocity (the 1st ever vacuum I’ve been around that my family had was the Velocity so I remember that type of brush pretty well)
First Intellitech Studios have the Bissell Cleanview Model 8975 and then second of all for the passed a couple of years he finally got the Bissell Cleanview 8990!!!
Very nice! Motor sounds just like a Powerglide! Maybe it was the same motor they put in those? Either way, very cool machine, I have the one with the blue body and a Special Edition version, they clean great, just filtration is terrible.
I just saw my Bissell had electricity going to the vacuum and I saw the same thing as the shark navigator. Feel like I don’t want to buy anymore and sell it.
Oh and that is the exact same motor your powerglide ultra and powerglide has in it. That’s before they started using the lower pitched Samsung motors. Just thought I would let ya know
I have a bissell rewind, cleanview pet shark left behind a lot dirt and the motor sounds way better than yours I will need to replace the HEPA filter and the belt.

Good for you! You finally got one! I'm still on the hunt for a 3590 at the moment.
I’m happy I finally almost completed my 6579 collection as I got the original model with the stretch hose. Very early model. 68th day of 2005
Nice!
That's a nice machine motor sounds healthy hopefully i will find one of those one day
