This was such a treat to watch. You did so well with the editing, even if it wasn't that complicated. It was so relaxing yet, I was so invested. This was my first watch of the game, and I wouldn't want it any other way. You're by far one of my favorite content creators, so watching you play this for the first time was amazing. spoiler for people who haven't watched the full thing yet. After finding the time to watch all of it, i am amazed in many ways. Your lack of use of one of the best tools in the game, the signalscope, which was only used towards the end to find the final escape pod, was completely made up for due to either sheer luck that you didn't even realize (interloper surface opening), putting things together that I took way too long to (how to get inside ash twin) sheer skill (parkouring across the gaps of brittle hollows reverse-gravity crystals), and clever methods of solving things (flying your ship UNDER the launched statue workshop on giants deep instead of swimming (even though there were times that you took a bit too long to realize (as did I a lot of the time))) made this a very interesting and fun watch. I also find it very funny that both in my and your playthroughs we both did not understand the warping mechanic on ash twin and resorted to parkour to get to the black hole forge on brittle hollow, except i called the elevator and rode it the whole way up instead of parkouring on the debris. Overall a very good video, and very much looking forward to a DLC run. The DLC is a great expansion on an already great story that shifts the entire gameplay loop from the original game while retaining the Outer Wilds f e e l. thank you for putting this video up, Mr. Journeyman Football League.
I find it funny despite said lacking use, I still managed to pull the thing out whenever I found a new rock, character, beacon etc to log it. I somehow internalized that as its exclusive use up until pod 3. Also fuck the teleporters. Glad it was enjoyable. DLC is in the plans as mentioned. I'll shoot out a community post when I start those streams. IDK when they'll be though.

Im only 40 minutes into this but this has already been my favorite playthrough just because it is so similar to how mine went. Also huge props for giving away 3 keys to this masterpiece of a game.
About 2 hours in and this is still incredibly similar to my run, but even worse in some ways. I at least was able to immediately find out that you can refuel the jetpack.
Okay after finishing this I can confirm this was worse then my playthrough. I am so exited to see you play through the dlc as I enjoyed it way more then the base game.
I just find it sad that you never got to speak to yourself at the ATP. Anyway, I'm impressed how far you got using MINIMAL game mechanics (The signal thing specifically). Anywho, there's a very nice thing you can do by going to the edge of the solar system with the signals tuned to the members of the space program. Peak music, if I dare to say so myself.
Be glad I knew about that already. I plan to eventually since I've seen it before but don't know much about it. Also yeah I'll have to try both suggestions.

I'm not familiar with any of the outer wilds mods that exist but if you think it could work I don't see why not giving it a shot. There's also a font called "Dyslexie" which is engineered to be easier to read. I think it works at least decently so maybe looking into that and seeing if it could be modded in is a viable option.
