Original was in Tamil (Dhooraththil naan kanda) which was not picturized by Bharathi Raja for Nizhalgal (imagine discarding such a song for commercial reasons!). Thankfully, director Vamsy did the honors. IR received only a State Award for Nizhalgal. 'En kadan paNi seidhu kidappadhe'. There were/are NO COMPOSERS to match this prowess / such compositions!

@ramanaak8579 Oscar is not the measure Isaignani should be judged. Oscar is for other normal musicians who compete for that. Isaignsni is beyond competition. 80s were golden era when I grewup listening to Isaignani's music. I can say that it influenced my life in very positive way to reach many achievements.
Great song that got Janakamma a national award for best singer. The emotions that Janakamma could project in her singing is out of the world.
