- I walk through Glendale in Los Angeles County. This city is the fourth largest city in the county, and is known for its various shopping centers. I explore the city and visit three of the shopping centers : Americana at Brand, Glendale Marketplace and Glendale Galleria.

Looks like Glendale has changed a lot, since I have moved out of the San Fernando valley, California, me and my best friend use to go shopping in Glendale, California anytime we get a chance 1978
You're always so kind in your narrations.
I so love your channel so much, your always showing us different parts of LA and how to get there, not many channels do it the way you do, thanks for everything
That Panda Express in the Glendale Galleria was the first Panda Express in the USA. The owners originally owned a restaurant in Pasadena and the management of the Galleria convinced them to try a fast food concept store and that was how we ended up with Panda Express. The Apple Store, I believe, was the first one in the US also.
You totally went by JC Penny, maybe you weren’t paying attention. Nice tour, been past Glendale but never stopped.
Luxury places in LA, the best one of your vdo, thank a lot for your up date, take care and stay safe AK!👍💪🥰
I lived in Burbank in the 60's, and Glendale was part of our stomping grounds. Cheers! :)
Thanks for the tour. My old home town. Lived in Glendale for 9 years. Nice place to live especially if you work in downtown LA. Moved from Glendale just when they broke ground on Americana.
That Glendale mall is beautiful.
AK you made me giggle because you mentioned JCPenney when you were walking right by it and then said you couldn’t find it haha. Thanks for the laugh and the awesome tour as always. I love that mall. Been several times. :) Keep it up!
The waterfall at the Marketplace reminded of a small version of the Houston Waterwall. Anyway, Glendale is a really nice place; thanks for showing it!
Great tour, top quality 👍
The writer Ray Bradbury inspired the architecture and urban development of several LA malls. The Glendale Galleria is one of them.
stayed here for a week for work back in 2015. Loved and enjoyed my stay there.
Thank you for the video , your channel always offers something for everyone , I like that about you , and I enjoy the shopping malls lol ❤️
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
This is my favorite mall to shop and walk around in. Such great memories for me here. Christmas time it's beautiful in here.
i cannot believe how clean it is.
I was there summer 2017, missed a lot of the sights,
thanks to actionkid I got to see more of them :)
Awesome!
I cant believe how sparkling clean Glendale is! Good work AK😁👍
Born and raised in Glendale my home town
My fathers Grandfather was a City mayor in the 1920s ran for two terms
I lived and worked in Glendale from 1985 to 1994. Before that I grew up in Eagle Rock next door. I was also homeless in Glendale for quite a time before there even was such a thing as "the homeless". We few "street people" just hunkered down in a park or at the library. Some colorful Glendale locals I knew of in the 80's...
Bob Caskey(ran the ticket booth at the Alex Theater. He shuffled like Mr. Magoo)
Sargent Bernie Scates(a graveyard shift Desk Sargent at the Glendale PD, who I'd stop in and visit some nights when I was bored, and even tipsy.)
"Mark the Narc"(An adventurous guy who lived in several abandoned houses off of pacific Ave. He'd re-hook up the electric and run wires with alligator clips.)
"Budweiser Dave"(a homeless guy who wouldn't hurt a fly, but who would burn the insulation off of copper wire to scrap, while doing so on the Bell Motel's carpet.
Tons of local stories and secrets I could share about living my life in Glendale. bet you could too. It sure has changed a lot from the "bedroom community" it once claimed to be, but it sparkled up the "Jewel City" aspect well and good.
Great walk AK. You’re always on point and provide great information on the places you visit. Thank you for what you do.
Because when you stop and look around you, this life is pretty amazing......thanks for the wonderful video, keep going!!!!
Watched to see if there were any more areas around the Americana to explore, thanks for this video! Also, you filmed this on my birthday and I had actually gone to Din Tai Fung that day 😂
Very cool video, thank you for sharing friend!
I've lived in Glendale for 2 months. My place was just two minutes away from that Shake Shack. It was on chestnut street. I had to move to west hollywood. I miss both those places now. The vegas buffet under that ross by the waterfall fountain is actually one of the best affordable buffet in town.
I love Glendale California. My cousin lives there. When I visit her, we always walk to Glendale Galleria and Glendale Marketplace from her apartment. Glendale is such a great place to visit.
Awesome place to live and visit!
A.K. excellent tour of Glendale my stomping grounds. I frequent the Glendale Central library which is very spacious and well lit inside. They are planning to build a big Armenian Museum right next to the library. You rock A.K!!!!!!! 🥰
I live there and it’s a beautiful city, everything is close by, I love it 😍
Another nice walking tour. You, Jsocal and Wishful Walking are doing the most comprehensive walking videos of the LA metro area.
Thank you for video showing! Nice place 👍
Super tour, I don't see a need to go to Glendale or many of the places you go! Thanks for helping me manage my time!
Clean and no homeless people
I use to live in Glendale! I moved in 2017. It pretty much looks the same, but of course quite a few less people out. The stores change out often. That one deserted place across from ROSS next to the LA fitness use to be an Outback 😋 I really like your videos! Makes me feel like I’m there haha! What’s your favorite place you have visited thus far?
Love your videos. Big hug from Buenos Aires Argentina!!!
Thank you for sharing the video of the walk, my friend, I was very entertained...
Nice place and nice Mall! 👍👍👍
Thank you for walking this area, this was my shopping area and library for 8 years. Moved out 2 years ago and i am so glad, now i can see how things are. Love your walking LA tour. The city should pay you for for all the free publicity. Its called the 3 frogs. Oh snap they took out the frogs...
Omg are you taking about the fountain? Yeah I remember there use to be frogs!
@@sweetwillow yep, they were green...in summer kids would jump in.
Ken, thank you for the walk in Glendale. Glendale is such a lovely city and that fountain, wow, I want one for my place! Enjoy your day! 👍🧍♂️😀
I'll try to check this one out later-you went to marketplace!!👍🍎
This was so nice
Nice walk, thank you AK
Glendale is pretty nice looking and in a good spot for hiking, just kind of far from the ocean and not really considered a cool, happening area. If I had a family and made enough money, it'd be a good place to consider.
Shopping muito bonito
I'm a new subscriber and I hope you make a lot of olsome videos for us!
Killing it in LA AK! After watching all of these videos from there so far, I am now definitely planning on booking a trip there most likely early next year. Thank you so much for showing me what's up in LA! I'm holding down the fort for you here in NYC. Cheers my friend!
Thanks 😊 Hope you get the chance to come here soon!
@@ActionKid me too man! My gf and I are definitely considering. I have a cousin and a few friends that live out there that I haven't seen in years as well. Thanks man!!
You really did make lots of walking video's. I don't know when you sleep.Thank you.
He doesn’t
Yes I notice Glendale has change. I think you will go to that Epic Place aname Disneyland!!
You should come down to San Pedro while you're in Cali. There's a ton of military history here, old relics to look at, the Korean Frienship Bell, The USS Iowa and the Port of LA. You're missing out!!
There has been a Sephora at every mall The Action Kid has 🚶♂️in LA. Pricey place.
Seems like there’s Sephora everywhere 😂
Magnificent mall. I was there a few weeks ago!
JC Penney 36:45 Bummed that Outback moved from the Marketplace. One could eat outside overlooking the Americana.
Finally! Thanks for posting the video of Glendale. ♥️♥️♥️
You walked right in front of JC Penney a bit recessed to the back. It's opposite the exit to the Americana. 🤗 It is a large mall and it's easy to miss stores.
You should do a tour of USC while you're in los angeles
There was an Apple Store at both Americana and Glendale Galleria. I don't go to malls much, but that seems unusual. Looking at the map they're only about 150 yards apart in a straight line.
@@WalkingWithWade in the country? Really? I woulda thought SF or NYC first.
This was a nice walk, very relaxed enviorement i think! How many live in Glendale? Looks like a nice place to live in😃thank’s for the walkingtour😃TC!🖐
Glendale population is over 200k. Its sandwiched bw Burbank and Pasadena. All 3 cities have very walkable downtown areas
Americano and the Grove has the same builder.
The city of LA and the surrounding area have wide streets enough to give you Vertigo, faint halfway cross.😱
Glendale is an awesome town/suburb!
Love it 😍
@@ActionKid I enjoy going there when I'm in the LA area fo sho! 🤘
If you go to the Grove, you might find the place looking familiar because it's developed by the same company.
👍
Just some info. That Big Chicken place is actually Shaq's
I must say southern California has beautiful weather. There hasn't been a cloudy or rainy day since AK arrived.
Thats the problem ... it rarely EVER rains .... the lack of water is not a good thing.
Going to rain today
It'd be much nicer looking if it rained more but it's hard to beat the temperature range for most of the year, not too hot or too cold and rarely feels gross humid (actually more related to dew point). You may have noticed in his other videos how much burned out grass there is, the half brown palm trees, etc. due to the lack of rain.
Oh yeah! I forgot about the wild fires plus the occasional earthquake.
I guess a place looks great when you live far away-like on the east coast.
where next? Highland park/Eagle Rock?
Nice and clean place. Sadly there is a lot of difference between rich and poor in LA.
Yeah, big negative about the LA metro is the large contrast. The general rule seems to be if it's part of official LA city, then it's more run down, rougher looking, less safe, full of homeless tents, and if it's designated as a separate city and not part of LA city, it's often much nicer looking but also more expensive to live in. Also, like zero hipsters in these separate cities while they all try to remain in a specific region within LA city (Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Highland Park).
Americana at Brand sort of reminds of The Grove.
its because both properties are owned and builty by Caruso Affiliated
Trolley runs from Monday - Friday.
man I miss yoshinoya
Glendale Library
Rick Caruso is the developer of The Americana in Glendale and The Grove in Los Angeles on 3rd & Fairfax. They look very similar however, The Grove is the Original. They named a little street Caruso at The Americana.
Is Glendale the Epic Place Kenneth. It is if you are In A mature mood. But I did go to Glendale only twice when I lived in L.A.
Apart from the occasional earthquake, SoCal looks like a great place to live and work.
A one bedroom apartment at the Americana at Brand runs close to 3k a month ... a regular one bedroom goes for between 1.8k and 2.2k a month .... very expensive.
Wow! that is expensive!
@@SA-hz1rs yep! There's lots to do and see in NEW YORK. And you can live in an outer borough and still enjoy all that the city has to offer.
Glendale. Nice did you make it to san clemente?
He went past it on his train to San Diego
@@zjbell700 no has to walk san Clemente pier and up del mar. Famous surfing spots t street.
Billie eilish's video was shot there.
Look like Hamilton please in Chattanooga but bigger
nice mall
Sees candy FAMOUS!!!
I know: I think it told him through the screen to spot and get me a dark chocolate orange truffle.
I wonder what spooked that lady @2:37

cOmPtOn!1!
Almost everywhere you film in LA, outside of shopping centres, the streets feel so deserted and almost dystopian. I just don't like walking in deserted areas. Why is LA so empty of pedestrians walking around, even in the most built up areas? Don't Angelenos enjoy their city with its perfect temperature? I just don't get it, it's so weird!
Pandemic. People are staying home. It would be packed otherwise.
Covid 19.
Litle Armenia
Where are all the homeless people LA is so famous for around the world?
I see Homer Simpson walking along the sidewalk.
