Thank you so much for this video. Showing the clips and all. I had to clean this is my daughters bathroom today and wouldve been lost without this.
Using the paintbrush and the shop vac on the exit side is genius! Thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
Whaaaatttt! I was today's years old learning about reverse hose on shop vac 😅. Thank you for that!!
You bet!
It's an imperfect job. It would be nice if Nutone designed their fans for easy removal for cleaning of the cylindrical blades. I'm in mine about once a year with a children's toothbrush scraping all the lint off the individual blades. But the fan will never be brand new clean again.
It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...
Thanks for the video. I have been trying to figure out how to clean out the dust and bugs.
A paintbrush - thank you! I was trying to think of the best tool to get into those crevices. My Dyson cordless vacuum helps a ton but sometimes there are tiny corners you cannot reach. This helps a lot.
Glad I could help!
This is very helpful. Thank you. I will be doing this this weekend. Is it generally safe to also wipe down the fan cover with a disinfectant or a damp cloth?
Yes, it is
We have the same exact shower exhaust and i have no idea how to take it off so thank you so much for this video very helpful.
Your Welcome!
Very useful, thanks for this video. Do you ever need to oil the motor or shaft (if it's getting noisy)?
No if if is noisy it could be just worn out and time for a new one.
This is very helpful, is it a must to remove the bulbs before taking the whole vent cover out though?
No I was not sure at the moment but needed to check the bulbs anyhow.
How did you take off the light cover?
Should just pop off
Thanks, mine had a little hex nut holding the housing up. You have to take off the plastic cover and remove the light bulb to see it.
Thanks for sharing, and thank you for supporting my channel.
Do you need to turn off power before doing this? I want to clean the fan, it makes a lot of noise.
No just turn off the switch. The fan and light have their own plugs you are not unwiring anything, on this unit anyway.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! My husband gets very mad when I turn on the vent while I'm showering. He said this causes the dirts to get stuck on the vent. Is that true?
Well My understanding is bathroom exhaust fan will get rid the bathroom air of excess moisture, humidity, odors and other pollutants.
Thank you so much! Just the information I needed!
Sir please make a video .... what exhaust fan release out side in its surrounding
Thanks so much! I'm tackling mine very soon & need some guidance .
Best of luck! Thanks for Supporting my channel.
Good video now to clean the bathroom van
I feel like our fan just dumps dust in our bathroom because it's vented to the outside. Can we add a filter in these to keep them from dropping particles in the bathroom? Or does that cause the engine to have to work too hard? I clean it regularly but this happens again within days of cleaning it. I'm so tired of having to dust the bathroom so dang often. It doesn't happen anywhere else in the house. Thank you so much!
Sounds like the wind is blowing it back in? maybe the flapper in the unit is stuck open?
Thank you, I watched your video and I was able to clean my bathroom light..
So glad I found your video!!! Ty!!
Why did I assume it had a filter
how long does it take to clean the Fan does it not take that long
Depends on the unit some ore harder then others just take your time you will get it.
VERY GOOD
THANK YOU!! I have looked everywhere for the instructions for my specific fan/light!
Thank you a very demonstration 👍🏼👍🏼
You are welcome!
u need to turn power off before tho right?
As long a the switch is off you will be fine unless you are going to be doing anything with electrical connections.
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!

Thank you very much!
You're welcome!

Grill and other parts inside still contaminated with dust and debris. Should have been cleaned much better!
Do the best you can with it as long as you got the worst its better then nothing, thanks for watching.
do you have any advice how to clean it more deeply? i feel like at that point we’d call a professional this video is probably just for regular people with no experience doing this
Thank you!!!
Welcome!
