The tractor handled that snowblower very nicely. It did not slow the engine down at all. And adding that plate was a great idea that manufacturers are just now starting to provide is a normal item. Looks like you have a great setup.
As someone who has a 60” Meteor rear PTO snowblower • Nice to see you obviously maintaining and upgrading your equipment • Your snow blower sees to do the job with no issue even with this ‘very heavy ‘ snow • I made a similar update to my blower as you review at 4:20 in the video too • Thanks so very much for posting and sharing Mr Teddy Bear!! All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
I have a GC2610. My snowblower from a prior tractor did not work well with the GC2610. So, I bought a used 60 inch Meteor snowblower this past summer. It is nice to see that your tractor easily handles the 68 inch. Thanks for the video.
You got plenty of snow there. That SB works really good and the Massey handles that big ole blow with no sweat. Good video going to watch the next one.
I had the GC2300 with pretty much that same 60" MK Martin blower on it, and it worked exactly as shown in your video. Unless someone gets insane amounts of snow, I don't know why they'd even bother with a 48" unit. If the snow got too deep and heavy, I'd just slow down a little bit, but it was rare when I couldn't go full reverse speed in low range. Occasionally I'd switch to high range full reverse speed and it had no problem with lack of power. To the folks that say it might be hard to turn around for that long, there's a technique to basically sitting sideways on the seat, so it really isn't that bad. A cab would have been nice in my case, as I just had the open station. It's nice to have the loader AND the blower at the same time.
Really nice vid. When I first saw that massive amount of snow, I was saying to myself that I'm glad that I didn't have that much snow to move. You've got a precise method of driving the Massey in reverse. Look forward to your next video.
You can run a much bigger blower on a tractor with a Hydrostatic transmission since you can have absolute control over the feed rate vs. engine load. I had a 5ft unit on an old Kubota L245 25hp and it struggled sometimes in reverse low range, plus it wasn't a live pto so when it started bogging and you had to hit the clutch it would plug up. I ended up converting it to a hydraulic drive system and mounted it on the loader.
Exactly, first bite in fresh snow is the toughest. Then gauge the amount of blower you use after that.thats called a good operator.Even if the blower was too big, take smaller bites, simple.gauge it based on snow conditions.
I too have a meteor on the back of my bigger Massey and I would have taken another cut and taken that down spout right out. I will try that plate,, can you send me the link where you got the plate please?
i bought a used BX2350 kubota recently. it came with a 46" meteor snowblower, which is plenty for my driveway. i have yet to use it. if it throws as far as your unit it will be a beast. my tractor has 420 hours on it came with a heated curtis cab and a nice 54" mid mount mower. $8800 i paid
I don't put anti-gel in mi fuel because the gas station here receive there fuel already mix for winter and in the summer it's regular fuel.I'm using mi tractor regularly so no use for additives.
Here in Vermont, the fuel is "treated" at the pumps and is effective to around 20 - 10 degrees F depending on who you buy from. During the winter, we (I work at an equipment dealership & grew up on a small dairy farm) always add anti-gel fuel conditioner to our equipment fuel tank, delivery trucks and any diesel powered equipment that does not stay in a heated building. The risk is too great for the poorly controlled fuel at the pumps to gel up, causing inconvenience and frustration for us and our customers. Just a few ounces of diesel fuel winter conditioner goes a long way to keeping fuel flowing. Because a bottle of winter fuel conditioner is so cheap compared to a service call and / or fuel filters and downtime, it is worth adding a dose to your fuel.
Usually on that size tractor you will see a 48 inch snow blower not a 68 inch and allot of folks say the snow blower is to big . The thing is the tractor is hydrostatic so you able to control the speed more then a gear driven. So your able to control the amount of snow your giving to the snow blower that way the tractor will take it . But if you go to fast you will stop the engine. So all the folks that are use to gear transmission will say the snow blower IS TO BIB.The video was to prove that a small tractor will some time be able to run a bigger implement .

now THAT'S what I like. a snowblower powerful enough to throw the snow where it belongs, all the way into the neighbor's yard
Glad to see your machine pushing that size blower. Just picked up a 5' oldie for my BX. Great demonstration.👍🌴
thanks for stopping by
Happy New Year
I'm sure your BX will handle it fine
@@MRnounoursSQ It will be videoed and featured soon I'm sure. 👍🌴
Indeed. That was impressive

Little machine, big task. A job well done. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. Me to work realy nice. Just finish mi cab only have to add the heater.
Great idea on the restrictor plate it helps it throw snow easier
That is a good idea putting a work light on the chute- would like to see that at night. Thanks for posting!
GPotter.I will next storm
Excellent idea
Cheers from Alaska
It is wild to see how the machine works! Dropping by your channel to support a fellow channel - best wishes for much success, always!
Thank you for your support it's really appreciated
My exact problem!!!!! tractor would bog down with too much snow in shute. Thanks
It's better for the auger to run it filled all the way across... running it loaded on one side put high pressure on the bearing
I does a nice job, but if I had to go in reverse to remove all my snow, I think I have to have a chiropractor appointment after every snow fall.
Really nice vid. When I first saw that massive amount of snow, I was saying to myself that I'm glad that I didn't have that much snow to move. You've got a precise method of driving the Massey in reverse. Look forward to your next video.
I don't know how anything can be too big. I do know that some equipment can be too small for the job.
Relly nice video.
You tractor is very similar to mine!
Thanks for sharing
Have a nice weekend!

It's the same. They just change the model # and a few aesthetic thing on it.

Ok
Very nice that you remember the model of my tractor!
Thanks for your reply!

That's absolutely backwards. A hydrostatic transmission robs much more power to the PTO than an old static drive. Not an opinion, that's fact.
That size snow blower works fine when you are only using half of it.
Exactly, first bite in fresh snow is the toughest. Then gauge the amount of blower you use after that.thats called a good operator.Even if the blower was too big, take smaller bites, simple.gauge it based on snow conditions.
I think it did a great job
Nice vid, question is your cab heated?
Yes . 2 Heather.
great video ty merry christmas
powerful snowblower
This is probably an odd question but what kind of trees do you have that still have all their leaves on them? And kick ass job that thing works great
Thanks those are cedar trees it's a conifer.

I did it
@@MRnounoursSQ I knew it! Is that a 26 HP tractor? Where did you get that plate? Does it make a real difference?
@@dirkadirka5395 22.5HP.I cut the plate mi self and yes it make a real difference.
@@MRnounoursSQ I Sir am going to try the same. Cheers!
Here's something to consider as well tightening up the gap between the impeller and the housing. ruclips.net/video/mWF-ALuRLDE/видео.html

Thanks...great video! How may HP is you tractor. Twin cylinder I would guess??

I didn't realize it snowed that much in France :P Now where were you two weeks ago, I could have used the dig out up here in Indiana lol.

the snow blower or the tractor?
Massey the best
When you only load half the auger you have a blower you can run. 🤷🏻♂️
you dont need that get out there and shovel !
