I couldn't believe what I was seeing, that unit is a total wreck. I think I would have walked away and told them it needs replacing. Good on you for taking it on and getting it going again. Recently discovered your channel, always an interesting watch from here in the UK.
These are the type of customers you walk away from. Regardless of the cost and availability, that’s a unit replacement or nothing. Literally quote it, get the autograph and the check, order the equipment. Once that’s agreed upon, get them running until the equipment ships.
Young man! You need to learn how to walk away! Let this be someone’s else’s problem. You did such a good job you got a Mistress now. That customer going to keep calling you for that crap
45 years in the commercial/industrial HVAC world and you my friend work on some of the crappiest equiptment i have seen, lol. good luck on this one, and yes i have seen this exact situation before.
How does anyone walk up to this disaster and say "I can fix it!"??? Wft bro that's either new install or im walking away. If my company caught me working on this I'd probably be yelled at.
OK you got your #GDT (God Dam Technician) card on this one. I would have walked away. This video taught me to think simple and make a plan. 20 minute video but looked like 6-8 hrs work. All that withoutnyour tool set up. I hate when your van gets broken into. Had it happen once. I make offerings to the HVAC Gods that it doesn't happen again.
Looks like that blower wheel was already swapped before you got to it... looks like about 2 inches or so smaller than the openings of the housing. wow... what a cluster!
Im only 3min into this video. And man that whole setup looks like its out of a 3rd world country. The hacked up units, disconnects hanging off the wires. Just whole looms of wire hanging off the walls. Utter crazyness
Dude you be rolling up onto the most hack jobs ever. Kudos to you still having the perseverance and integrity to do a good job. Honestly very surprised that whenever the indoor fan exploded into pieces it didnt puncture that evap coil.
Another great video. This is a crazy YORK unit. You did a excellent job. I’m getting those sanding attachments super cool. Look forward to your next video.
Sometimes I will come into work and realize the power surge over the weekend caused some of the units to trip. Chillers will say that they’re on, but the drives r tripped out; gotta reset a lot when it happens. Usually the main fault for my issues. Love ur vids!

Surprised you didn't find some bats roosting in there Jumperman!
Cant wait to see what they come up with for heating….
custom option design ..... but easy to replace service in the future .
Fuck that noise, im all about trying to service the customer but they clearly need a new unit.
I walked away from a job like that once, and called the city.
It’s China town ? 😀
holy fuck....
Frankenstein unit. Only in america
Walk away, walk away. Would have never touch it after seeing this Hack
I would have declined the job after seeing the Freon containers strewn inside the condenser.
astonishes me the things you have to repair in a big city where its not easy to just get a new unit in
I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot barge pole
How this passed the inspection 🧐?
I'm surprised you even touched that unit. Jesus what hack job of a unit.
It's probably the customer who doesn't want to pay for a proper fix or repair. Those condenser coils brand new are at least 5k each.
Dude walk away and say no. That is just no

Holy crap! I know I'm 8 months behind, but holy crap! Runaway!
What a mess hmt I would turn down this job only if you doing the complete installation
whoever install those condensers on top of that unit is probably making it a thousand times harder to work
Glad you didn't walk away from this one man. Awesome content good sir
hope he gave the owner a good reaming out for the condition this was in.
JMT great video. Thanks for shearing. Hard job. God Bless you. 🥇
The fan wheel is too small but ok in the situation.
Fun job on a weekend. Love the Seinfeld clips . Best show ever imo

This is also why i never buy used tools on the street. If its in the package OK. 🤣
Are you working for a company, or you have your own company?

Man you made this like butter
Just another day in nyc
That’s the biggest hack job I’ve ever seen unbelievable.
We do what we have to do some times and just keep it moving.... I hate NYC....
Some people need to stay away from HVAC!!!!!!! He should leave!!!!!
What the heck is with the condenser on top of condenser???? You get the craziest locations.
🤯🤯🤯😱😱😱 that was crazy. amazing work but sheesh!!!
Why u don't change the unit...and I wonder how much u charge it...let us know
If you Detonated a grenade in that unit I honestly couldnt imagine the aftermath being worse than what I saw here
I think this has got to be the worst RTU install I've ever seen. So much sketch
Dang gotta tell the helper to wear those glasses I had some stuff blow back and get in my eyes I learned my lesson

What a shitshow, nice work
At some point you might want to stop and just replace it.
Great video man ! love the commercial content!
You won’t hurt my feelings if you had left the blocks holding the fan up .
Hey where you located you own your own business or work for someone
Damn, where the f is that installed?
Another great video. This is a crazy YORK unit. You did a excellent job. I’m getting those sanding attachments super cool. Look forward to your next video.
Those disc are commonly referred to as "pearl discs" or "flapper wheels". Regularly used by welders, and pipefitters.
@@chefeatsher yeah that’s exactly what I was told when I got mine.
That’s a walk away, either all new or nothing
It´s been a long time since I laughed so hard but this unit takes the price for sure 🤣
Shit looked like it was about to disintegrate from a light breeze, can’t believe you managed that. Super impressive video. It’s a beautiful thing!
You couldn't pay me to live in New York City.
No different than any of the big cities in the US, in fact it's alot easier to get around in NYC with all the subways which I wish more cities had.
I’ve seen that once crazy
💪🏽💪🏽
underrated youtube channel, good video, great advice
Nice jop 👍🏻

Love ur vids!
That was what 4000 dollars job?
5K. All kinds wrong with this. SMH. The things you see in NYC Boggles the mind. We not even talking about electric.
@@sherwinalvarez7365 i got to learn hvac and move to ny.
Junk 😂
I talked to a local tech and they started him at 12 dollars bo certain or experience and 16 and gave him his own van. That sounds super low pay?
What a fun job. They got lucky transformer tripped or that unit be on fire without all the safety. Good vid
Great video man, keep posting videos like this ones. We appreciate what you do.
Super makeover!
Quite the job site.
Those sanding discs are the cats’ ass.
Bravi, ragazzi 👏🏼
Where was your socket 12-1 tool screw driver thing?
You see some cray shit bro , I would've quoted a new system as soon as I saw the condensers attached.
Hahahahaha thats Job security, f- in clowns in your area.
What the hell kind of back alley throw together unit was this?
I’m an HVAC technician off of Miami and that has to be the craziest unit I’ve ever seen lmao. Where do you live?
I think he is in New York, New Jersey area.
Skyline has a few tanks on top , big scrapers be don't look familiar...
That unit was a beautiful piece of engineering lmao
Yeaaa fam this one gotta go 😂!! Just throw the entire unit away
You knew you can fix it and did. Great job!
I wouldn’t touch that shit with a 10 ft pole.
The stuff you will find
I wouldn’t put my name on that.
Ghosh! U get the toughest jobs.
👍
Great job
