Sending a big "thank you" to your husband for being such a good sport! My nails are very similar to his; short nail beds that are wider than they are long, and very flat.

I haven’t done my nails since my husband passed away last July. I’ve recently begun to want to do my nails again. My nails are pretty short and I looked up dip powder on short nails and your tutorial popped up first. I’ve visited your channel many times and was glad to see you had a recent video. The fact that your husband volunteered to be your hand model made my day! I’ll definitely be using this video as a guide.

They turned out so well! Your hubby is a good sport! 🎉😊 You should take him to dinner tonight! ❤😅❤ My nail beds are wide and short for my natural nails and getting x short nail full coverage tips are pike longer nails for me. For most people they would probably be just as long as the bed. 😊😂😊

You are so right, I need to treat him to nice dinner! I will tell him yall said so 😆🙌🏼 I was honestly anticipating for him to say no when I asked but he was so nonchalant and said sure! 😆
It’s amazing how different everyone’s nails are! I really need to give full coverage extensions a try. Do you have any in particular you like? 🩷

@@SipAndDip not yet because I truly preferred the tips that extend your nails, not cover your nails. If I could still find the tips for real, not full coverage, I treated my dip change as much like a fill rather than a full removal so I didn't have to remove them. I am also a diy'er so I am not sure if I want ti try a gel or not either. I don't like my current lamp as it doesn't seem to be curing my gels correctly and I need a better one. 😤 I was trying the gel on my 80 yo mom as the dip still takes me a very long time. My next option will be for me to make her press on nails and that way all the work will be done off her hands. Just need to google where to order the stands that hold the nails. I'm considering selling it all and buying a stock of Red Aspen. 🤔With those they will already be done and will already look good and stay looking good for the whole time they are on. I don't seem to get faster at this craft and it's probably bc I don't do this often enough. Without tips, I take the nail off and give my beds a breather and then it's a dip on my shorties again.

I just started using “dipping powder” myself. (I had gel nails for years, and done by a nail tech.) I got AzzureBeauty kit. I’ve been watching many videos, but yours are by far the best and most helpful! I’ve subscribed to your videos!

You totally can!! 🫶🏻🩷 I honestly wasn’t sure how many layers I would do or how I’d approach it until I started. So I think as long as you are happy with them, that’s all that matters!! He really is my biggest supporter 🥹🩷

Thanks for this i always thought dip would not work with super short nails which i have but now i see that i don't need any sort of extension

Thanks so much (both of you!) for this demonstration. My nails are super short like your husband's, and also just smaller in area to begin with, so I generally don't do anything with them. But my partner has regular-sized "short" nails and is trying new things with them all the time. I'd like to join them and learn to do some of it to help them along and this looks like it might be a good option for me.

I bought the round nail brushes as they fit my small short nails better. However they don't fit to seal in the OPI bottles. Any suggestions on how to store or keep them between manis? I didn't know if I should use brush cleaner and then let them dry out. I'm not sure what brand uses them but OPI works better but not their square brush. You have been such a great teacher and I've rewatched so many of your videos.
That was wonderful, thank you both for that!!!

I have the exact same issue and would love to know how to keep using these brushes, I'm afraid to leave them in the cleaner and dilute the OPI liquid/
