Wow.!! And I was having a pretty crappy day. You my friend solved that little issue with this amazing comment. And to be honest I really wish everyone would get a chance to read this comment. So many people would benefit from being a little nicer to others. Too much angry out there right now if you ask me. So I thank you once again my friend for these amazing words. I just ordered the on/off switch yesterday, quick google on how to work, and it brought up your channel, how the heck you don't have multiple thousand subs is beyond me, couldn't have asked for a better explanation, good work bud.
Hey I really appreciate that killer comment my friend.!! I am working very hard to improve my channel on the daily. With some luck I will have more subscribers someday. Comments like yours really keep me in the game. Congrats on your new on/off switch. As soon as I discovered my first one I have never gone back.! I have them on EVERYTHING I OWN.!! Thanks again my friend, and let me know if you have any questions when you get yours. 😊
OMG, so sorry I missed you amazing comment..!! Some of these just slip by. From time to time I take a look at the old videos I post to see if these old comments exist. So I say MANY THANKS..!!! Your comments mean a lot to me..!!!
For years I looked for a way to get the lights to be manipulated from the transmitter. Finally I found these on/off switches. I've never looked back.!!
Very good video. Nice and concise, thank you. I have the Spektrum SLT3 3ch radio and the Gool RC and both work the same way with the 3rd channel and the lights. I am currently looking to see if it is possible to be able to dim the lights using a DumboRC 4th channel dial. Do you know if this is possible at all?
Excellent video, quick question is their anyway to have a brake light to turn on only when braking? Whether using this kit or another which can do this?
Sure, there are plenty of LED kits that will do exactly what you are looking for. You just have to find the right one. Look up key words like RC LED BRAKE LIGHTS/TURN SIGNALS. See if that helps.
THANK YOU Brian!! I've been in the Hobby for over 35 years... and I'm still learning!! 😜 I need this for all 3 of my Rigs. Can't afford them, at any price, but could use them. I would have been one of those who assumed that it was a simple "click on, click off" switch... The extra functionality is kinda cool. 👍 That was very well explained with a nice calm demeanor. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Videos!! Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Many many thanks my new friend.! Like you I have been on the Slim Pickens side as far as money for a while now. Finally got monetized Again on RUclips so that will eventually help but it takes time as well. Picked up sponsorship with banggood and that is helping monumentally. I could not afford almost any of this right now. However, all that will change. Head down, keep pushing. That's all I know brother. Good things will come to good people, eventually. Really appreciate you stopping by the channel, you are always welcome here.!😁🏎🛠🏆
Thank you! You're very kind. People tell me I have dogged determination. I'm counting on that, and hoping it keeps me going. I have a 2 year old Grandson, from my Wife's daughter, who was announced the day after I lost my Baby. I call him "My little Miracle". He is my Heart. I owe it to him, to hang around as long as I can!
The dimming... I don't think so. Not to say that it is not possible... I just have never seen it before. If you figure out how to do the dimming, please let me know. I am super happy that you got things figured out with the rest of the LEDs.! Very cool.!! Many thanks for the great comments and questions.
Hey Brian. Thanks for the video. Question for you, would it be the same process if you wanted to use a different channel on the drumborc remote? Right now ch3 is being used for my 2 speed. I could swap that over to a different channel if I needed to.
Hello, I am new to RC and trying to get this to work on my losi lasernut with a spektrum smart ESC and dx3 controller. It gives me the ability to use 3 position momentary or 5 position latching mode for channel 3. No matter what I try though I can't figure out how to get the remote to control the lights. Argh! I have them plugged into channel 3 on my ESC if that helps.. thank you!
Hey that's really great..!! This video is still going strong.! I remember getting into this hobby 20+ years ago, always wanting to manipulate the lights from the radio. Finally teaming up with Banggood.com, I was finally able to not only complete this task, but I was able to share thos with many people. Thank you for your great comment.!
Hiya, I’m so impressed with your brilliant video. Great explanation and Thankyou ? I have struggled in the past and finding your video has been a breathe of fresh air !! I’m in the UK so buying the lead may be difficult but I’ll try ! 👍👍👍
Thank you very much for the "How To" explanation my friend. Electronics have never been my strong point. I will return for a for a recap when my switches arrive 👍👍😊 Many thanks to Bas Boy RC who directed me to this video 👍.
This video has helped so many people.!! It is one of my most viewed videos. I am very happy that you found help here as well. Many thanks for the great comment my new friend.!!!
Really sorry I missed this question. Sometimes RUclips gets these to us really late, or not at all. I had to come find these. So many thanks for you question, I hope you got it answered by now. If not, I would check to see if your LEDs have a third, usually white "signal wire." If they do, this may be the confusing factor for the truck. Most of the LEDs that have this wire do not need the on/off switch. Using one in this situation will confuse the lights. See if this applies in your case. If not... we move on to the next step. Thanks again for your comment and question..!!!
@@AMAZINGRC Thanks I have a brown.. Red and yellow wire on on end, and red and black on the other end. Its a Apex electronic on/off switch. I have it plugged into my aux channel. 🤷🏾♂️
That's good info for LED Lights. BUT, I have a 3-6v water pump I want to control with Ch#4 on my Radiolink RC6GS transmitter. What do I need in order to do it? I'm assuming it would be the same thing as you controlling the Winch. Any assistance is appreciated! THANKS
Wow, that's a good one.!! A water pump, for what.?? I would love to know... I may be bale to help a little better if I knew it's function too. But mostly because it sounds cool.!!
I figured not out, I had to get a RC Remote Controlled AUX on/Off Electronic Switch Relay , so I can activate the pump. I made an Air powered RC RESCUE VESSEL, using an Airplane motor and Marine ESC, the ESC will be cooled with water pumped threw it... work like a charm. U can also use it inside you RC boat. THANKS
Hi, great tip.. Is it possible to fix one of the modes? I want to use it for my rc plane so that when i turn one of my switches on transmitter in one mode the lights go on and then turn on off when i bring bak the switch to previous position
Good question.! I'll give a shot at answering it. So everytime you turn the switch on and off the switch will go to the next of 4 modes. The switch is not programmable. So it will go from off to on(ch1) to off to on(ch2) to off to on(ch1) (ch2) to off. Hope this helps.!
Works on any receiver that I have ever used it on. And the switch itself is 2 channels itself. + - - + or - + + -, I can't remember off of the top of my head. It's been awhile but I think I cover this in the video somewhere, but again... it's been awhile. It will definitely work on the plane receiver.
I was under the assumption when you had a spare ch you could plug the lights into it and I would be able to switch them on and off. But you have to add a switch in between though?
On some of these newer receivers and LEDs with the third "white" "signal" wire do not require this addition. However, if you can not get your LEDs to work with the extra channel, this on/off switch will get you there. I also know that if the LEDs have the signal wire, then this on/off switch will actually negate the on off function all together. This switch is for those that can not get their lights to work without one. many thanks for your great question my friend..!!
Question. If you have a transmitter with on off buttons already like my futaba do you even need this on off switch? Since I can edit how the button works in the menus. As long as I plug the lights or fans into the coorisponding channel?
Excellent explanations , this little cable is really great and I think it opens even more possibilities . I have just ordered four cables and two radio in five tracks. Thanks again for the 10% coupon 😊
I am so surprised at how many functions are on this little cable.! And like you said I think there is even more than my video displays. Let me know if you find anything extra and I will do the same my friend. As always thank you for your wonderful friendship and everything it brings.!😃🏎👍
I'm not sure that they are programmable. The switches that I had access to years ago were plug and play. There may be programmable on off switches out there, I just don't think that this is one of them. Sorry for the delay on this reply..
I've recently setup exactly the same as you, and all works fine, until I add a steering input. Once I do all the :ED's go off never minding what mode the LED's are on. I press channel 3 button again they come on again, then add steering input and again the LED's go off...forward and reverse is fine ironically...can you shed some (light) on the subject?
Hey Paul, sorry I am getting to this a bit late... Some of these sneak past me at times... OK, WOW.!! Really good question...This one might take a few tries to get right... Hopefully the three weeks you had to wait did not make you walk away from RC all together... OK, so the first thing that I would try is a different steering servo. See if that gives you a different result. Also, please let me know what you are running as far as Model Truck, ESC, Servos, and Batteries. We already know what you are using for radio and receiver. I should be able to help a bit better if I can take a look at your full setup. Again, sorry I'm late, hope I can still help.!!
How exactly did you get to to work with the Traxxas radio …..I have the same one how do you get to program the trans brake to control channel 3 or and channel at all ?
Without having a DX5C in front of me I will not be able to give a 100% accurate explanation. However, I can say with certain is that this on/off switch has always worked no matter what transmitter I tried to use.
Hi! Thanks for explanations! I have one question: will this led switch system remember last choosed mode after unpowering an rc model or it will back to mode 1?
Hi, just want to ask is there resistors added in the switch? Or do I have to solder a resistor along with the led? Also would like to know can I connect 2 or more leds in each point in a series?
Hello, thank you for your question. I would say that yes, there is a resistor installed already because I have never needed one. And the second question gets a yes too. You can run multiple sets of LEDs in series without issue. I have run 38 12 volt LEDs through one on/off switch without any problems. Hope this helps😎👍
I believe the voltage is 4.5-10v for the switch. I will have to check when I get to the shop later on today. As far as LEDs, I have set 36 LEDs on one on/off switch with no issues. I don't know how many the limit is but I threw 36 at it... hope this helps my friend.
It all depends on the light system that you're using. If you have the light system already and your receiver go ahead and plug it in and see if you can get your lights to turn on and off with your radio. If you can't then you need the on off switch... There are some light setups many times light bars that will turn on and off with just a receiver. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to get back to you as quick as possible.
I am turning into a big fan of some of these products. I really didn't set the bar too high with my expectations on this transmitter due to its price and now with the on-off switch and even a gyroscope in the upgraded receiver there's a lot here for the money. I want to try one of these Fly Sky transmitters as well. They've got a couple transmitters with big old screens on top of them and they're only like 50 bucks. Tons of features too. Thanks a lot for the great comment, Kenny.!👍🏎😃
I just bought a dumbo rc ddf-350 with a 10ch x10fg receiver. I can't get this switch to work. Does this have a max power or something? Can't find that info.
You may have to do some troubleshooting on this one. Now I'm not familiar with this receiver setup but I still may be able to point you in the right direction. First try the radio channel without the switch slot see if your plug in works without it. If you get nothing this way too we need to check the switch next. Try it in another radio/receiver setup if you have one handy. This exercise will help us locate the issue. Weather it's in the receiver, radio or the on/off switch itself. If none of this produces an answer I would contact DumboRC directly and see if they can help out with your original question. Really sorry I can't be of much help here. Good luck my friend. 😁
No, not at all to have this on/off switch working property. The gyro and non-gyro receiver will have no effect. Hope this helps. Many thanks for the cool question. 😎
You know I'm not sure... I know that I have ran all matter of LEDs through this unit. I even thing I ran 12V lights... I tried to look this up and I couldn't find any Voltage tolerances.
Good morning I have a radio link radio and a dg-1 controller that I am trying to pain up I cant seem to get them to work as one the dg-1 controller comes with an on/off switch but cant get them to work any idea what the issue could be any help would be great
I am just now getting in the car and on the road for a morning run. Once I get back in just a few hours I will take a look at your situation. We may be able to get you all fixed up. Thank you for the question talk to you soon
Ok, I tried to get some info on the DG-1 controller which I am thinking is the receiver that you are using. A quick question for you that will help me figure this out. First, what model RadioLink Radio are you using. Also, tell me more about the DG-1 controller you are using. Is this your receiver.? What company makes the DG-1.? Let me know and I may be able to help. 😊
Very good question.! And the answer in easiest form is yes, yes you can plug the lights right into the receiver and yes they will turn on as soon as you turn your car on. However to have the ability to turn them off and on at will from your transmitter without actually touching your vehicle you actually need this on and off switch. With this switch a lot of scale crawlers and semi trucks can manipulate light sets on their vehicle which is great when making a video. Very good question, thank you for asking.!
I don't think you can on this. If using a dial for this function, all the way in each direction should be an input. All the way in one direction for on, and the other way for off. At least I think I know what you are asking...🤔
I'm puzzled why an on off switch is needed. My controller has a 3 way switch that is unused. I thought if I connected my leds to channel 5 (the 3 way switch) that alone would be enough but nope. The lights stay on regardless of the switch position. I need to search your videos in hopes you found a way to make the on off work. :)
That's the whole deal of the on/off switch. I tried to figure this out for years before I finally fount this product. There are lights the do not need the switch. Usually these will have three wires. I had a light bar awhile back that did not need the on/off switch to work from the radio. However, most LEDs need the switch. I literally have one in every car I own. Some of them have two switches. So you are not alone, I was and still am puzzled as to why the switch is needed in most cases. But once I found this one here I never looked back. I have literally sold 1000+ switches since the release of this video. 99% of those people are very happy with the product. Hope this helps.
Interesting... I am not sure. I personally have installed 36 12V LEDs on two switches with no visible issues. However I never really looked at temps. Everything just worked so I never checked. How many LEDs are you running..?? Also, I think I ran 3S myself so I don't think thats the issue...🤔

Hey thanks a lot for your question. Let's see if we can't figure this out. Already know what kind of radio you have let me know a little bit more about the lights. Sometimes if the light set has its own signal wire you actually will not need the on off switch. Try putting the lights in the 3rd channel with out the on off switch and see if the button works to turn them on and off. You may have already tried that let me know.
@@AMAZINGRC thanks for getting back to me. Yes the lights work fine when I plug straight into receiver. the issue is when I use the cable in between they do not. I use these www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPH25TQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So if a pwm signal from servo is a ocilation from on to off, could I switch the positive pin to the signal slot on my light bar plug and the circuit is either filled or not filled by a pwm signal?
@@forgiven_lightofficial3732 that's one you will have to test out. Off the top of my head I am not sure. I have seen these used in all matter of crazy configurations. This one I don't think I have tried.
Not sure if you can help. I've bought one of these connectors from eBay, followed the set up, but my transmitter can only turn the lights on. They stay on and then cannot cycle through the different programs or turn off. Do you think I'm doing something stupid (very possible) or could it be a fault with the connector? I'm using a Dumborc 6ch transmitter and receiver. Cheers.
Hey, thanks for the great question. Let's see if we can get this figured out. Let's start out by getting a bit of info first.looks like you are working with a familiar radio, what about the on/off switch. The one you purchased from ebay. Is it an exact copy of the one featured in my video.? Not a deal breaker if its a bit different, I just need to know what we are working with. Next up, the lights you have. How many LEDs are you running in your project.? Are they individually wired ( pair of headlights ) or a three wire prefab setup ( lightbar ) or a mix of both.? One more, when you turn the light on with your current setup, is it with your radio channel button.? Are you able the turn them on and off.? Or are they just on all the time with the power to the vehicle.? And last, what channel of the receiver are you using for the on/off switch.? Well that should do it. Hopefully with this info we can get you better fixed up.thanks again for your great question
@@AMAZINGRC the switch appears to be exactly the same. My lights are a set of 4 LEDs - with red/black leads going to the connector. The switch plugged into ch3 and then the led l lights into the switch. I can turn them on with the 3rd Ch transmitter button, but then they just stay on. Can't turn off or cycle through programmes etc. Really appreciate you coming back to me. I have a feeling the switch is a bit dodgy as checked your really helpful video out and I'm doing the correct things. eBay seller being less than helpful but only cost £2 so not a great deal lost! Thanks again.
@@MeeeemeLord ok, on your LEDs, only red and black wires.? No white.? Reason why I ask is that the rc6gs does have the ability to turn LEDs on and off from the toggles and 3rd channel button, and it can do this without the extra on/off switch. This usually requires the third white wire. Signal wire they call it. This wire also interferes with the standard on/off switch. So if your LEDs have a white wire try them in the 3rd 4th and 5th channels without the on/off switch. The RC6GS is a really great radio full of tech. Out of the 200 or so on/off switches that I have been a part of, only like 3 or 4 have been faulty. Pretty good results. And its really great to be able to manipulate the lights from the radio. Well let me know what you find out about the white wire and we can go from there. I must tell you that I am painting today for a video so if I don't get back to you super quick, just know that I will get back. Sorry bout the ebay seller... thats never fun. 😔
@@AMAZINGRC Hi, I've encountered the same issue, and discovered the problem lies elsewhere. I have a Carson Reflex Stick Pro 3.1 LCD 4-channel transmitter/receiver, with two toggle switches for channels 3 and 4, respectively. I've added 2 LED-strips, each to one pair of terminals from the switch (connected to channel 3). When I turn the channel 3 on, one LED-strip lights up, as expected. However, when I flick the switch again, the lights stay on and that's that. There is no cycling between the switch's modes. HOWEVER, when I connect the switch to channels 1 or 2, which are proportional channels (for steering and thrust), I see that the switch cycles between its modes EACH TIME I push the lever to the left/down and right/up again. From what I can tell, is that the PWM signal that is transmitted to the receiver, needs to give a voltage on the signal line close to zero. For the levers, that is the case. However, for the toggle switches on the remote, that is not: there, the signal wire measures about 0.2 V when off, and 0.3 V when on. The switch detects the change from 0.2 V to 0.3 V, but not the reverse when toggling. As such, the switch does NOT work with any remote...
@@smaerivo WOW, out of countless comments and questions for this video I have NEVER thought of this situation. Nor has anyone else on this video. I really think you have something here. Personally I do exactly what you did here. I hit the receiver up with the good old process of elimination. Channel by channel, toggle by toggle and see what I get. Sometimes I get a surprise. Believe it or not, this is not how some people do this. Plug 1 in channel 3 and nothing... bust be trash.! I thank you for hitting this up with a completely different angle. Well done.!
No, some receivers and radios do not need the on/off switch. If this does not work, the switch will be needed... Thank you for the question... Hope this helps.

If your radio features a 4th channel, install the on/off switch in the 4th channel on your receiver. Once you do this it should work just like the channel 3.
@@callumk9070 with another on/off switch anything from more LEDs to a winch. You may not even need the on/off switch. You will have to test the 4th channel with and without the switch. It all depends on your radio.
I would be willing to bet that you are correct. Now, without actually having a Futaba here to test on, I cannot definitively prove that theory. I have thrown it on a Traxxas transmitter and of course it does work. The little on and off switch itself is just great. You get so much out of a tiny little switch that takes up almost zero Equity inside the crawler. They're just great. I'll do a little poking around on RUclips maybe find one that is actually installed on a Futaba for you to take a look at. But I would say 99.9% assured that yes this will work on a Futaba 3 or 4 channel. Hope that helps my friend. Thanks for the great question.!😁🛠🏎
LOL, very welcome.! I had this exact same emotion the first time this worked. I ALWAYS wanted to be able to turn my LEDs on and off from the radio. This was my eureka moment.!! I've never looked back. 😁

I have brought on and off light switch which is tje same as yours? The description on pack says 4 channel but it looks nearly exactly the same as yours! I dont understand the "4 channel" on the packaging?
If it is the same on off switch that I have, I should be able to walk you through it. There should be four prongs coming from the chipset end of the on-off switch. These are as follows. From right to left and left to right they are the same. Positive negative negative positive. Two separate channels. You should be able to plug the other end into your receiver in either it's channel 3 or 4, whichever Channel coincides with your on-off button on your transmitter. Once you get everything hooked up, try to test out the on-off switch. The best way to test it out is to install two LED lights one on the positive and negative on the right side of the switch and an LED on the positive and negative on the left side of the switch. They should work independently with the button on your transmitter. Let me know what you find out.

You are a Legend my man, was confused but now have lights!!
I need this for all 3 of my Rigs. Can't afford them, at any price, but could use them.
I would have been one of those who assumed that it was a simple "click on, click off" switch... The extra functionality is kinda cool. 👍
That was very well explained with a nice calm demeanor. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Videos!!

I call him "My little Miracle". He is my Heart. I owe it to him, to hang around as long as I can!
thanks for explaining, it is working. Since during the demo mode the led started to dim, could this also be done manually?
The dimming... I don't think so. Not to say that it is not possible... I just have never seen it before. If you figure out how to do the dimming, please let me know.
I am super happy that you got things figured out with the rest of the LEDs.! Very cool.!! Many thanks for the great comments and questions.
Thank you so much for making this instructional video for this item. It helped me a lot!
Hey no problem.!! I still use these switches to this day. They are essential. Many thanks for taking the time to write. 😊
Genuinely helpful. Great explaining.

Very welcome my friend.!! Glad this helped out. Thank you for stopping by. 😊
Gotta try this on my typhon mega that look sick.thanks for the video.
Great video thank you for all your help. Did you ever get the winch figured out and a video of it?
Finally! This is exactly what I needed! Thank you!
Winner.!!
Hey Brian. Thanks for the video. Question for you, would it be the same process if you wanted to use a different channel on the drumborc remote? Right now ch3 is being used for my 2 speed. I could swap that over to a different channel if I needed to.
In theory, yes. But you will have to test it to make sure...
Argh! I have them plugged into channel 3 on my ESC if that helps.. thank you!
I have the same issue too.

great trails with that truck!👍🏻 like the suspension work!💪🏻🤩
Many many thanks my friend for the great comment.!! I really miss RC, I will get back into the genre someday.
Thanks man! Got mine and works great.

Have you done a light bar conversion from a USB to use the power
No... but I am also not exactly sure what you mean. USB.?

I hope you see this. I have an arrma typhon i cant get the leds to stay on. I have to hold the a/b button down for the to stay on. Any tips?
What about voltage?
Great video. Tx so much. Really enjoyable as well as super useful.
Very good and detailed video thank you very much
Thank you many times my friend.!! Really great upgrade.!!
Which side of the + terminal is input power connection ? does it works on 6 channels RC plane receiver ?

How set u with new radiolink on and off 🙏🏼
I'm not sure that they are programmable.
How much out put voltage in the light controller.
I wouldn't go over 8V. Normally you just plug it into a receiver and it would get the 6V that it usually provides.
Appreciate that video my friend 👍👍👍
you are very welcome..!!
How do u do it on the spectrum DX5C transmitter for channel 3 on the receiver..
Good question.!! It will go back to mode 1
Wow very nice 3channel switch control module big thumbs up my brother XD
Many many thanks my good friend .!😃🏎👍🏆
Simple & straightforward...tnx😎
can traxxas 5 channel handle the main light, spotlight n winch?
I believe so. I have not tried it myself but the same tech should be in both transmitters.
I understand how to connect.. Whats the limit of leds? Will they work if esc supplies more than 6v ?
I believe the voltage is 4.5-10v for the switch. I will have to check when I get to the shop later on today. As far as LEDs, I have set 36 LEDs on one on/off switch with no issues. I don't know how many the limit is but I threw 36 at it... hope this helps my friend.
Fantastic how to video Brain, I'll have ago of this, thanks for sharing this great video 😁
Thank you so much Tony.! Really appreciate that support you throw my way.! I promise I send it right back my brother.! Have a great weekend..!!😃🏎👍
So i dont just plug the lights in directly to the receiver. I need an on/off switch?
It all depends on the light system that you're using. If you have the light system already and your receiver go ahead and plug it in and see if you can get your lights to turn on and off with your radio. If you can't then you need the on off switch... There are some light setups many times light bars that will turn on and off with just a receiver. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to get back to you as quick as possible.
Great explanation!.... Shame we don't have just "on & off" and have to go through all the modes to get to the off status 😊
Oh yea brother. Good stuff. Great info 👍👍

Great job man!! Lookin forward to seeing it as a winch controller. 😉👌🏻😎
It's one of those kind of things like I know it can be done I just got to figure it out🤣😂🤣 thanks for the great comment.!
So can you just turn the LEDS on and off without the 190mm board on channel 3?

Do you need a gyro receiver?
No, not at all to have this on/off switch working property. The gyro and non-gyro receiver will have no effect. Hope this helps. Many thanks for the cool question. 😎

A newbie question. Can i just plug the lights directly on the receiver?
Very good question.! And the answer in easiest form is yes, yes you can plug the lights right into the receiver and yes they will turn on as soon as you turn your car on. However to have the ability to turn them off and on at will from your transmitter without actually touching your vehicle you actually need this on and off switch. With this switch a lot of scale crawlers and semi trucks can manipulate light sets on their vehicle which is great when making a video. Very good question, thank you for asking.!
@@AMAZINGRC thanks..more power to your channel..👍
Do I need a separate battery to use the switch?
No, and I am really sorry I missed this question. I hope you got the answer you were looking for a long time ago.!!
@@AMAZINGRC I made a switch. And no problem. RUclips notification is broken.
Any advice?
How do you adjust the throw to +/-100%
I don't think you can on this.
Hope this helps.
i also got this and it works but gets really hot on 3s , is there a limit on lights and volts.....banggood doesn"t say
Interesting... I am not sure. I personally have installed 36 12V LEDs on two switches with no visible issues. However I never really looked at temps. Everything just worked so I never checked. How many LEDs are you running..?? Also, I think I ran 3S myself so I don't think thats the issue...🤔
You may have to solder on a series current limiting Resistor.
My channel 3 won't switch anymore always on now?
Did things work normally at first, or was channel 3 on all the time from the beginning.??

Hey thanks a lot for your question. Let's see if we can't figure this out. Already know what kind of radio you have let me know a little bit more about the lights. Sometimes if the light set has its own signal wire you actually will not need the on off switch. Try putting the lights in the 3rd channel with out the on off switch and see if the button works to turn them on and off. You may have already tried that let me know.

Have to unplug battery to turn light off.
Hiya I'm struggling getting it to work on my nb4 I set the channel in my 8th channel but it does nothing when I click the assigned button
Let's start with your setup... what is the exact model radio and receiver are you using...?
Well done.!
Do you have to use the on n off switch with?
No, some receivers and radios do not need the on/off switch. If this does not work, the switch will be needed... Thank you for the question... Hope this helps.

I take it this would work on a futuba 3 or 4 channel transmitter as well?
AMAZING RC thank you for keeping it simple and great info!!
Thank you 👍
LOL, very welcome.! I had this exact same emotion the first time this worked. I ALWAYS wanted to be able to turn my LEDs on and off from the radio. This was my eureka moment.!! I've never looked back. 😁
what is the on/off switch called?
I always remembered it as the 3rd Channel On/Off Switch. Check the link out in the description section. If you have any issues with that let me know. It's an old link
@@AMAZINGRC I already one… thank you though✌️. I had to find one that is able to have 3 outputs because I have a rear light bar , a front light bar, and headlights. Thank you replying though!
@@steveng_13 anytime.!
Hello why your swicht is not heating ? , i connect Vario Folding searchlight 75mm whit a resistance on the swicht and the swicht to the recepteur and is start heating , I don't understand .... thank for your help
Really sorry I missed this question. Sometimes RUclips gets these to us really late, or not at all. I had to come find these. So many thanks for you question, I hope you got it answered by now. If not, you may check some of your polarities. Most of the time these switches do not run hot... usually. So give your polarity a look...

Sir...can esc 30a support with light controller for led bar?
It should... you won't know until you test it.. good news is that these on/off switches are cheap and if it dies not work, u can use it somewhere else possibly. Thanks for the question, hope it helps..!!

See if you can find any videos on RUclips. Someone may have a how to video on it..
Mine still won't turn on 😫
I have brought on and off light switch which is tje same as yours?
@@AMAZINGRC awesome mate i will give it a crack once i recieve all my stuff! I just want headlights and taillights and 1 led bar to work. Headlights and taillights on, and then headlights and taillights and led bar on, and then all off. It may take a bit for me to get my stuff but i will keep you updated! Thank you for a replys your a legend!
@@PsyChAoS_ hey that sounds great Corey.! And yes, please keep me posted as to when you get your supplies. It will be amazing when you get it completed, this I promise. Talk to you soon.!
negative is ground/neutral, the 3rd wire is signal
Many thanks..!!! I think I finally have this one figured out. Some very smart people just like you taught me this very rule so thanks.!!😎
Hi is there a way to just switch the lights on/off without cycling thru the modes every time? Cheers
No... afraid not. I tried a couple different ways. I will say this, you can set the on/off switch to the first function you want when you turn the RC on. The switch has a memory so you can leave the switch on what ever function you want to execute first when you turn the RC on the next time. Hope this helps.!
@@AMAZINGRC no worries. thx for the quick reply and suggestion. all the best from down under!
@@phulesickmate very welcome my friend 😃
My lights turn on with the switch but wont turn back off again for some reason
🤔...that's interesting. I haven't seen that before. It could be an issue with your switch.?? Man I'm no help to you on this one. The good news is that you are able to turn them from off to on at least. Maybe as part of your troubleshooting you could try different LED setups or a different on/off switch to see if you keep getting the same affect. You may be able to narrow down your search. Good luck. 👍
@@AMAZINGRC yeah aha, its a very strange issue i have with the switch currently im running a dumbo rc 6ch transmitter and channel 3 works fine with everything else like servos and motors yet the switch doesn’t see to have any avail to get it fully working, im going to order myself another switch and then see aha, appreciate the reply by the way 🙏
@lightspeed_0680 keep me posted if you can. I would like to know how the second switch works out. 🙂
@@AMAZINGRC Will do 👍🏻
