- 👉 Learn how to graph piecewise functions. A piecewise function is a function that has more than one sub-functions for different sub-intervals(sub-domains) of the function's domain. To graph a piecewise function, we graph the different sub-functions for the different sub-intervals of the function's domain.

why do you have a closed dot at x=0
I do not remember if I change the constraint of made a mistake. Per the function it should be an open but when I write it it looks like I write it as closed
Here we are 10 years later and yet you are still helping folks. You did good man.
an open dot is when the point at your dot is not included in your answer. Your constraint will be less than or greater than. A closed dot is when your point in included as a solution. Your constraint will be less than or equal too or greater than and equal too. To algebraically determine if your point is apart of your solution. Plug in the values of the point for x or y in your constraint. If true it is then apart of your solution. If false it is not apart of your constraint. Help?
You did the exact problem on the book that I was stuck on! ALG 2 p105 #12
Mr. Brian McLogan, thank you very much, for your great explanations I´m ready for my math test
boom you got this!
@@brianmclogan im a little confused when you were graphing -3x so you were making the plots and you said down 4 i understand but then went right 1, why?
okay what is a question you want to ask?
This actually helped thanks now I hope I can retain the information
can we solve that without f(x)=8 and I really want to know how to graph a piecewise function
I still dnt know what u mean by slope is 1/1 nd then put that dot dot..
Plz explain
tysm i finally get it
I took my test and did ok, the only thing was how do you know if its a open or a closed dot?
if the is a line below inequality it a closed dot
I still dont get it :(

You do a lot of good things, but you need to fix the mistakes before you publish them.
I make mistakes just like everyone else. All mistakes I am aware of are pinned as a comment
If you’re in the business of producing public tutoring videos for students who struggle in math, you simply can’t publish them with mistakes. It’s lazy and misleading. Your explanations are only moderately helpful without the mistakes, and bad with them.
I respectfully disagree. While I appreciate your passion for perfection, from my perspective Mr. McLogan's explanations have been extraordinarily helpful. I would not be surviving College Algebra without them. I wouldn't ascribe anything about his video's as "lazy" or "misleading." I agree that a minor mistake was identified, but Mr. McLogan acknowledged it and pinned it one year ago to this video. To me, that's not being lazy; that's being diligent. Before this video, Piecewise Functions were an utter mystery to me. They may as well have been Egyptian Hieroglyphics as far as I was concerned, but now I get it thanks to this video. Therefore, I am extremely thankful he didn't take this video down.
Silvius. What?
i still dont get it :--((
