What can I say about my son? That’s the best. Love you, George Strait this country western singer. I will never forgive you forever. You will always be in my heart in my prayers. ❤Rosie ❤❤❤❤❤
govols2214 i love chris but only time can tell that. When chris can put out #1 hits for 30 years like george then ill agree with you. Few in any genre are on George's level.
My cousin named Bethany is coming up in August from San Antonio. I got a text from her saying that she and her Husband are both coming in August. I figured I'd tell Texans ahead of time. They're only going to be in Buffalo for 3 days.
yes, he talks about the "Hero's" in one of his interviews. Here's the thing, Chris is so humble, and respectful to those he shares the stage with, I don't believe he knows just how great of a performer and writer that he truly is. We are watching a new "Hero" for Country Music evolving right before our eyes with Chris Stapleton. Truly, he will be a legend one day and justly so.
LOL at one point King George was looking at him like dammit boy, you're making me look bad. Chris sings classic George ALMOST better than George does now days. (no hate, his voice has just changed as he's gotten older --it happens) Either way -- they're my two faves on one stage!
So true tho. Chris is far more talented and I think deep down George Strait fans know this too. Love both, but Chris Stapleton is a generational talent
Ian Hernandez you can argue stage presence and song writing, whatever. But dude, Stapleton can just do so much more with his voice than him. Far more talented and it’s not even close
Ian Hernandez King George is maybe on the same level, but Chris Stapleton has a far richer, smokier voice, that sounds way more unique. He also can sing multiple genres which George strait really cannot. Definitely not better, I hate when people pretend that the older the artists are ALWAYS better than today’s stars, because there are exceptions
Ian Hernandez listen to Chris Stapleton sing “Tuesday’s gone” or “learning to fly” or “I’ve had the time of my life” dudes voice is so much better than George strait’s
PREV COMMENTER WAS RIGHT: Kyle Jackson 2 years ago As a resident of San Antonio, it seems we are OBLIGATED to like George.....billboards, 4-6 songs on radio EVERY hour..... ( he lives here and Iv met him @ Spurs games ) ....blah blah blah............... BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT..........despite good songs, revered by country music in all capacities SORRY TO WARN YOU: he is a PRETTY BOY in a starched shirt singing OTHER PEOPLES SONGS !!!!!! As I have researched he's written less then 10 songs in his career, but recorded TONS of great ones by others Chris: writes and records his own SOOOOO: IMO........if it werent for good looks he'd be a helluva less popular ****** this benefit show @ the downtown Majestic Theatre, which thousands stood in line for....for the hurricane Harvey debacle, while was for a good cause, over 1k for ticket was UNBELEIVEABLE
I thought he did great changing that melody though. You can tell Chris does not know Western swing like George though. But that is normal, Chris is used to doing R&B, southern rock, blue grass where you use more soul. Western swing you have to sing at a high baritone.
George is just as thrilled to be on stage with Chris as Chris is with him and THAT is called mutual respect.

I swear Chris can sing anything!
George STILL has it. Will always be my favorite country artist of all time. What a great way to raise money!

@@jenniferdijames1671 safe travels Bethany
So happy for Chris. You can see how honored he is to be on stage with a legend.
skateski ain't that the truth! He's already on his way to bring a country legend.
skateski Chris is way more talented than him sorry not sorry🤷♀️

Ethan Weeter I love Chris. When he has over 60#1 hits then we will debate who’s king!
Chris Stapleton is done a legend in my book he's the greatest
Chris Stapleton is another George Strait and All our oldies that keep country music COUNTRY no punk rock ❤

Michelle Callahan it has but George is still the best in my book.
George can sing that first half a little clearer though. But Chris can hit those high notes pretty good still.
All my exes have infections
Danley Jones yess!!!😂😩
@Danley Jones - Damn, that's funny!
A anyone checked on George straits exes
That's Norma's job
With all due respect to King George, the absolute legend. If Chris was apart of the 80's - 90's country era we'd all be saying George who?
Kyle Jackson Thank God that didn’t happen though because they can each get their own spotlight :-) they’re both great together!!!!!

Elvis and Michael Jackson and others rarely wrote their own hits.
HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST ?
lol Chris got a challenge on this one, song in the key of A where Chris usually hangs around C and higher
All my exes have covid19
I'm glad George was there or Chris probably would have changed the melody like he did with George Jones Tennessee Whiskey
Debbie Minaker You mean David Allen Coe? Cause he is the original singer
Debbie Minaker theres a difference between singing with the original singer and covering a song and in many ways, make it better.
I thought he did great changing that melody though. You can tell Chris does not know Western swing like George though. But that is normal, Chris is used to doing R&B, southern rock, blue grass where you use more soul. Western swing you have to sing at a high baritone.
