I read and sing to her everyday. She knew all her alphabets and numbers from 1 to 50 snd was talking by 17 months. It’s so important to have your baby listen to you talk when they are infants. They are smarter than we think.
My daughter was reading short stories at 2. Her great grandmother would insist she was memorizing the books but I'd say, give her another book then. Ha! Today's she's a college graduate, doing well in her field and about to make me a grandma! Yes, talk to them, read to them, interact with them!!

Very good job! My daughter was saying full sentences by 18 months old because we spoke to her clearly all the time. No baby talk! That’s what you do, spend time with your child.

My oldest said his first words at 10 weeks. By ten months he was talking in short sentences. It was amazing. His siblings were pretty normal in their development.
Try not to say that in front of people that are working on it but their child has a reason why they can’t talk as early as this one. But I do know what you’re talking about
@@maryharvey6909 I have 2 grandkids who have delayed speech and It’s not their parents fault, they work very hard at it, I was just admiring how such a young one can speak so clearly, and was so responsive to Mom. Thanks for your feedback I certainly did not intend the comment as a judgement on parents or children with speech delays.
