this trailer for suicide squad told us that a lot of crazy shit is gonna happen in the movie, but it worked WAY better for the dark knight because ACTUAL CRAZY SHIT HAPPENED.
I believe joker should've been revealed by the end. If your objective was to make an authentic trailer which it nearly is. We get his voice over the trailer and then he gets revealed at the end.
