Also for those a little confused, you're seeing just one side of the coverage here, when I am tossing back to Rebecca, she is talking on air explaining the radar, warning, places this is moving towards, etc. This is only my perspective :)
Also the triangle comment... literally I started a sentence I had no idea how to finish lol.

It was interesting to learn that a handful of people in the Joplin tornado died from fungus spores being released into the air. A bunch were also sickened and hospitalized with drug resistant fungal infections. It's like adding insult to injury that people who survived the physical trauma of that monster tornado later succumbed to exposure to fungi. Tragic. The dirt being picked up here reminds me of that horrible situation.

@@ozone8897 Exactly. Just about every storm that produces -- or could produce -- tornadoes travels SW to NE. Any other storm system is less likely to give us those conditions. I think it's to do with the amount of warm air to cold air ratios, or something like that, but I am no meteorologist. I just know that if the clouds have any level of rotation or speed that could give us a funnel, it's time to "batten down the hatches" and get to a windowless area. And then there's the telltale "sound of a freight train" that's often reported by those who have been through such events.
This may sound colloquial and silly, but tornadoes are just another way of Mama nature letting us know she's good and PO'd. 😅
