At first, when watching this, I was reminded of the art style of the Final Fantasy Tactics games. The way you go from sketch, touch up, grayscale, color, touch up and refining is just so awesome. I will definitely try out grayscale in my own works because I so wish to be better in my art. Did sub so I can hopefully learn more from your art, and enjoy the art you make and the process to get there. I am curious however: do you have various planned out sketches or thumbnails prior to doing this piece? Or do you just draw what the idea is and edit it to your liking?
Usually the more you do it, the faster u become. Its just like in games if you are at low level you take nearly an hour to do a dungeon, as you get higer level you will to spend less and less time doing it, until you be able to just breeze through it in a couple of minutes. Art is also just like that.
@@lrdalucardartThanks for your message! The comparison actually worked really inspiring for me. Anyone know what kind of style he’s using ? The way he color it
gray scale coloring where you make a new overlay layer above and airbrush the colors on
I dont really know what you would call it its like a traditional painting style, Marco Bucci is a good teacher for how to paint like this digitally
Ye but like what style is this, just a rough sketch without any outline , straight up coloring it
Its just a painterly approach
Anyone know the brushes used?
Lack sells them in their Pixiv Fanbox
can someone explain this step at 2:20 ? like HUH??
