Lovely garden, houses all around but still very private. enjoy my friend. ( I already have this tent, love it, not sure why I've even watched this video lol )
Great informative video Tom! Been eyeing up a few Black Friday tent deals and seeing it in this video has helped confirm my decision! 👍🏼 Bring on the winter camping! 🏕
Thanks for watching I have just made a modification to the door this week. Sewed in a zip along the top as the Velcro is not that great hoping to get out in it soon and will put what I have done on the video.
Just picked up one of these for £85. Needed an upgrade from my Bobcat 1 as I feel like I'm in a coffin when inside it. Obviously this is an extra 1kg in weight but its worth it for the room.
How do you find the weight of the tent for hiking and wild camping? Can't knock the space inside, seems well built as well and should take some bad weather.
Yeah don’t find the weight to bad complete tent with poles is just under 3kg. I have tested it in a couple of windy camps had gusts up to 40mph and no problems at all.
I would agree I think a zip would only of worked it the door was accommodated for it as a complete panel. More Velcro sounds good or possibly get someone to stitch a zip there just thought the design could of been better thought of 👍
Brilliant for the money I have been out with winds gusts of 40mph and no problems good as a 3 season tent in the colder weather as not very much mesh so keeps nice and warm!
Great video Tom, well presented and informative, so I’ve hit the subscribe button. I don’t have a tent yet but the Jackal 2 is high on my wish list. Good luck with the channel.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and subscribe. Jackal 2 is a great tent. Keep and eye out as I will be doing a review of the Naturehike cloud up 2 and cloud peak 2 if they were also on your list just testing them firstly.
The one think that puts me off this tent big time (still havent bought one ) is the door .it rolls up to the top requiring both zips to get in or out .huge faf when you just want to nip out and then back in again . Seems like a design fail to me .
You can either roll the door up or the zips open from the top down as well so if you want to get in and out quickly you can just zip the one side down to the floor
Cheers for the video mate. Much appreciated. I’m looking to purchase so found this really helpful. Many thanks. Paul

Nice Video Thanks
Thanks for watching don’t forget to check out my video regarding the modification I have done to the door 👍
For the price, it looks a decent quality tent for cycle touring.
I have the 3 version n I'm gonna put more Velcro on fail point u showed it really should have top zip instead velcro

It only took OEX 30 years to make a copy of the Vango Hurricane Alpha.

Jackal 3 £79.00 at go outdoors ..👍✌️
hi, does the strap in the door for the fly change the way it pitches as it has an adjuster? cheers
Hi, there is no adjuster on the strap it just holds the tent in place once the pole has been fitted

@@AloneAdventures when you zip it down does the zip come apart at the bottom allowing the door to be folded to one side ?
Unfortunately not but zips right to the floor.@@rufusduck71
OK thought so .cheers
Cracking video mate
Thanks mate 👍
this tent would be perfect if it pitched inner and outer at the same time like the Wild country tents
I have thought about whether I could attach the inner to the outer permanently.
Just fit the inner and leave it.
Subscribed… great video.
Thank you really appreciate it 👍
