My 5 minutes of fame. Huel interviewed me as I walked on the ship. I worked in Shop 56 for Bob Dillon and John Smith. I'm still working in shipbuilding after almost 30 years.
I worked for the shipyard shop 38/05 Marine Machinist I was 19 yrs old. I love d it. I worked dry dock 01,02 and 03. I worked all the ships. For a 19 yrs old it was awesome. It was 1983. We use to play tonk card game in dry dock 01 what memories beautiful
The head of public affairs guy is pretty awesome. I remember this day as a kid, and the autographed photo from Huell that I treasured so much. Great memory that I'm so happy to have found!
Worked at LBNSY IN THE 80'S. The worst place I've ever worked! I worked in shop 17 (sheetmetal shop) and the management in that shop was horrible! Glad when I left and moved to the Northwest.
Great episode, lot's of information, I learned a lot.
