- Here's one I think you can figure out without me going note by note. I just play through it slowly and then give you a demo with some other ideas that I'm sure you can figure out.
I wish you would revisit this one
Thanks, Jim. I'm glad this one popped up on my phone.👍
Me too!
It's only now that we're less than a month away from Christmas that I've worked out why Jim's been growing that beard...... Ho Ho
Perfect, Jim! Thank you!
Thanks ☺️
Oh I'm definitely gonna learn this one, I can't believe I haven't heard of it until now!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@JimPankey thank you! I will😊
Sandy Boys must live on Clinch Mountain
I was playing Clinch Mountain Backstep with bluegrass band and had a couple of folks walk up impressed that we knew a crooked version of Sandy Boys. :)
I like how you drop that mute in at 1:55. Very cool.👍
Thanks 😊
Love this lesson a ton!! I just got one more question :): When playing a chord that doesn't have the 5th strings note in it, what do you do? Do you still play the fifth string or what?
I still play the 5th string.
Sounds great! Do you have the tab for this? Or a link to one?
honestly has a lot in common with clinch mountain backstep!
I’m sure this tune is where Ralph got the idea for Clinch Mountain Backstep.
Brilliant !! I wish I could master claw hammer, frailing. 3 finger style - yes, but not that.
What tuning are you in ?
Sawmill. :)
Great bit of playing there, can you confirm which tuning you are using?
Liking the new hirsute look too!
Oops... yes, that’d be sawmill. gDGCD
