  • In this video, we’re heading into the north country to learn about caribou and reindeer. Caribou are often referred to as reindeer in many countries, especially in Europe. And while both reindeer and caribou are of the same species in North America, reindeer are generally referred to as the more domesticated smaller subspecies of the caribou. While Christmas reindeer often comes to mind for many folks, you will discover in this video that there are many interesting reindeer facts and caribou facts, and there are several different subspecies of the caribou, including barren ground caribou, woodland caribou, Svalbard caribou, European caribou, Finnish forest reindeer, Greenland reindeer, and Peary caribou.
