I agree it doesn’t really fit or look right
I think it suits better for this piece, visually it appears as if the music is moving and feels lighter, whereas the vertical synesthesia would appear very direct and heavy

Very interesting format, I highly commend and encourage trying out new stuff! But I don't think this one is for me :/
This was an interesting exercise for my brain but I don't like the new format.
He’s not going to be playing horizontally permanently from now on people. I thought the horizontal synesthesia was very fitting change of style for this song as it doesn’t climb up and down the octaves like a Liszt song.
I will say that after having learned this piece that the dynamics and expressiveness you show are exceptional, as well as the tempo control are 99 percent perfect. Well done traum, you can put yourself up there as top synthesia pianist
I really liked this performance, per usual haha! I always love your playing, but what i didnt like so much was the horizontal synthesia. If thats your thing and you want to do it, go ahead! Its not like its gonna stop me from watching, but it was juat unsettling like it was cursed

I like the idea, although i think you should try making the notes appear from the far right side of the screen (kinda like reading text or a score). Btw this is one of my favourite miniatures of Mozart and i loved your performance :)

I dunno, my reaction to the skewed perspective is very much like a Fallout Boy song to me. I saw this and immediately was like, "oh...nope. No like." Then while it was playing, I thought, "Well...it is interesting to see it this way. Maybe I don't like some parts, but looking at the effect independent of the notes is cool. This isn't too bad.....eh, whatever, it's fine."

Why is it horizontal???
Playing is beautiful, I think part of what is throwing people with the horizontal is that the notes kind of just appear. With the vertical you have some warning of what’s to come, but this makes it so you can see and analyze what’s passed already instead of what’s to come. Good on you for trying something new, but definitely prefer the vertical bc it also syncs more visually with the hands. Maybe an idea could be to move the keyboard to the side so the keyboard makes the notes instead of consuming them? Does that make sense?

I played this for my grade 10. Isnt the first note of the grace supposed to line up with the first beat in the left hand? Thats how I was taught for mozart haydn and beethoven (leniancy on beethoven)

Unique format but in my experience it hurts my eyes and just unpleasent to watch the video. Obviously the performance is amazing tho. The way it would look pretty in my opinion if the notes were already there from start to end and it would move that way. Cuz I've seen a kind of classical piece with horizontal notes but it had many instruments so it was better that way. I think there is a youtuber called :
andy fillebrown he does a kind of unique representation. Well its like that but horizontal I can't seem to find the exact video tho.

I prefer the horizontal diagram. The other kind was just an incoherent mess with simply too many notes, so Traum decided to just cut out a few.
