Well done. i find it truly remarkable you made 3 mistakes yesterday on what I thought was a super easy puzzle, and aced today what was considered much harder. Funny how Connections works that way. I got through this with two mistakes. I didn't see Purple right away so I picked the parts of the ear, though I did see the Coyote / Roadrunner choice as well and both used ANVIL so one had to be a red herring. I picked the wrong one. After clearing purple, I made another error because I could not figure out the yellow. After selecting animal parts, using HAMMER for hammerhead shark, I eventually clued in on Keratin, though I could not remember that word. Finally I have not heard of those pants, only CARGO, so I described them as fashion brands, the default solve. I'll have to look up what is meant by the other three kinds of pants. The Connections Bot doesn't lie, I go by its rating over what the NYT predicts. As I type this, the rating is still 5/5 for difficulty with a 56% solve rate and only 17% having a perfect solve. I think the sheer number of red herrings did a lot of people in as you pointed out in your video. My guess pattern was 1 / 333,333
Perfect Connections! I got the rolls and keratinous appendages but then I went for ear parts and Minecraft items. I knew only two types of pants. RIP. Great Mini. Only slightly slower for me: 2:03. Good Strands. No misclicks for me.
I thought the Connections category order made sense as how related to what the word means the category is. Just part of a phrase, various sources for styles, appeared together in something, and objects made of the same material. Usually, there are one or two categories more direct than common material, but everything was even less yellow today. Incidentally, the spiky boot things are spurs. Stirrups are the things on a saddle you put your toes in, or, I guess, something that goes under the balls of your feet and is attached higher up.

I expected the pants category to be yellow. Maybe the editors made it blue because you have to be a certain age to remember hammer and stirrup pants.

Purple-green-blue-yellow solve with no mistakes.
56% solve rate with a 1 million solves.
When I got the yellow, I knew I could win. Strands was hard. The mini was easy. I'll take a different pace haha
No reverse rainbow for me either. I found parts of the ear first, but backed off. Got purple first, but couldn't get the rest of the order.
Never heard of stirrup pants... :-(
Strands was hard for me today. I do not own any of the items in the puzzle.
You don’t own a sweater?
@@MissKapanadze nope, it is short sleeves until the snow flies then I consider putting on a jacket.
