    Could be any number of things to have done him in. Everest is a big mountain; I am certain they will never find his body.
    Easily, he could have smashed into a rock, or fallen into a crevasse, or worst case would be breaking a leg and becoming stranded up there in an unknown location..
    However; I think the most likely scenario given the details; is that he likely became disoriented as a result of altitude sickness.He simply spent too much time up there, and combining that with exhaustion; he probably went off a cliff and landed in a snowdrift, never to be seen again... Just another body on Everest... Each has a story to tell of great triumph and a dramatic ending.

    Many climbers die of summit fever, Marco died of Horbein fever

    • @leratoseretsi5603

      Meaning what

    • @rondog540
      @rondog540 17 дней назад +2

      @@leratoseretsi5603 meaning climbers regularly die on the mountain because they're fixated on summiting at all costs (summit fever). Siffredi died on the mountain because he was fixated on snowboarding the Hornbein at all costs (Hornbein fever). His Sherpas tried to talk him out of it due to exhaustion and worsening weather conditions and he ignored them.

    As someone who did dangerous things in my youth, I prefer the saying "They knew. They understood. They accepted."
    I hate when people say "They died doing what they loved." No one loves freezing to death in pain or slamming into a rock at 50kph.

    The odds of dying on Everest are 1 in 16,"so I was told anyway", not much better than Russian Roulette .

    The reuse and misuse of video and stock footage, and the incongruity of so much of what was shown relative to what was being talked about, really detracted from the quality. Felt a bit like an AI-generated film, which is pretty disrespectful to the story of someone who lost their life.
