Could be any number of things to have done him in. Everest is a big mountain; I am certain they will never find his body. Easily, he could have smashed into a rock, or fallen into a crevasse, or worst case would be breaking a leg and becoming stranded up there in an unknown location.. However; I think the most likely scenario given the details; is that he likely became disoriented as a result of altitude sickness. He simply spent too much time up there, and combining that with exhaustion; he probably went off a cliff and landed in a snowdrift, never to be seen again... Just another body on Everest... Each has a story to tell of great triumph and a dramatic ending.
@@leratoseretsi5603 meaning climbers regularly die on the mountain because they're fixated on summiting at all costs (summit fever). Siffredi died on the mountain because he was fixated on snowboarding the Hornbein at all costs (Hornbein fever). His Sherpas tried to talk him out of it due to exhaustion and worsening weather conditions and he ignored them.
As someone who did dangerous things in my youth, I prefer the saying "They knew. They understood. They accepted." I hate when people say "They died doing what they loved." No one loves freezing to death in pain or slamming into a rock at 50kph.
The reuse and misuse of video and stock footage, and the incongruity of so much of what was shown relative to what was being talked about, really detracted from the quality. Felt a bit like an AI-generated film, which is pretty disrespectful to the story of someone who lost their life.
Imagine this rich and throwing it all away for nothing. I never heard of any of these people, or even half those mountains. Must be nice. They even named the mountain in french so you know to surrender.
So he DID IT, but then went BACK to do it AGAIN because the first time snowboarding down Everest wasn’t hard enough….. omg
Yeah X_X It's the kind of thing one does at age 22!
They seem to forget about the part where their idols die young
His idol died, his friend died.
Well told tale. Good audio choices and a great voice for this. Subbed.
Great channel and your voice is perfect for a channel like this 👍
Making a hero from stupidity.
Incredible story and well presented. Thanks.

I found your video by chance but i'm glad I did. Wonderful waay to present the story, the facts and the tone was great, keep it up
Surely, he fell into a cravasse.......

He’s talking about the north face but showing pics of the queues on the south col!
So often the indications say stop but the adventurer keeps going with diminished chances.
Many climbers die of summit fever, Marco died of Horbein fever
Meaning what

you're a hero, man! Well in your youth, as said.
Already knew he was going to forget the cross on that last snowboarding trip.
Good on him, out there doing it, what a legend 👌 was his choice
"He needed to make sure that he could survive in the death zone", find the error.
He’s down somewhere in the Ronbuk Glacier
The odds of dying on Everest are 1 in 16,"so I was told anyway", not much better than Russian Roulette .
RUclips be listening to me lol just watch some dude ski down k2. He skis past climbers going up which i thought was funny 😂
Over confidence , which surfaces from an over inflated ego, es just one of the many silent killer's awaiting all in la Montanas
Everest must have thought...I am the tallest, the biggest..and have taken enough sh!t. RIP Marco
Insanity. A 2nd time?
Lol, that dude's face. Look, if your destiny is die doing something utterly futile.....we are not here to stop you.
Pure arrogance
He should have made himself a cross or got another one.

chatting with him yesterday and he said he is planning on doing it again
Mostly factual.

Mental illness?
