I'm a fresher and I've opted for computer science..my 1st sem just got started...idk why but I've been struggling so hard to keep up with all the subjects in track together...day by day i keep finding my lessons getting harder and harder in each subject...i was literally stressed out everysingle day and felt like I couldn't handle it anymore...i wasn't really enjoying learning anything new anymore...the anxiety that came out of it, made me struggle mentally every single day... i wasn't working hard on my studies anymore as i used to do before..i was slowly becoming ambitionless and purposeless..i was almost about to give up...and then i saw your video...u can't imagine how your advice has changed my perspective and how i find it really helpful and beneficial!🥹 thank u so much may Allah bless u❤️

As a student who keeps struggling to choose a department while my stress levels are killing my appetite to the point of excessive lost weight I am slowly trying to learn to be brave and actually listen to my own heart and instincts. Being this amount of indecisive led me to a loop hole of repeating anxiety and ignorance. I will take the university exam again this year while trying to transfer into the department of education. I am scared of the future but I will try to stay in motion and get over it while pursuing some professional help on this never ending problem. Please remember to take care of yourselves in these type of situations. Your health is far more important than any goal you may be pursuing. And please know what your true goal is, only then you can excitedly climb though your challenges. Because of people’s views I made the same mistake of choosing something unsuitable for me twice causing great distress to myself. So dear students or student to be enjoy what you pursue, have fun, make mistakes, make new goals and don’t be afraid to leave them if you are feeling it’s not for you. This is my goal for this year. Hope you guys will find yours too.

The part about following your plan and not your feelings has to be the best tip of all time. Motivation comes and goes but discipline is what will get you where you want, it's better to work on your discipline and follow your plan than how you feel. And to be fair by the time you get your tasks done because discipline pushed you to do them, you will indeed feel happy and content. So it's not like your even beating yourself up your just doing what's right for you logically.

This is something that took me a couple expensive mistakes to learn and I seriously regret it all... but I'm glad I at least learned before it was too late! 🥹🥹🥹 I think it was Tina Huang (another RUclipsr + Data Scientist) who said in one of her videos that she adopted a "bias towards action" in the past when she was changing her academic/career goals. So, even when she wasn't sure where a certain opportunity would lead, she seized it and tried her best to be successful in it. This can be uncomfortable to do, but it is a helpful mindset - because a lot of people (definitely including myself) keep themselves stuck in one place because they can't see the specific purpose of what they're doing at a given moment and give up before assessing the potential for success and laying out a plan to make use of that potential. Sometimes, as long as it's not harmful to you or anyone else, you have to just trust the process and keep moving forward; you might be pleasantly surprised at where you end up! Even if you studied something that wasn't exactly what you wanted, you might be able to use it as a stepping stone into the things you truly care about. Each person's case is different, but it's something worth considering nonetheless.
I remember that time when I was walking back home and realised something , "You are in college to comprehend not just save informations ." it might seem so simple and logical, but it isn't until you actually understand it . I stopped and stayed for about 15 minutes thinking about it ( it was like the revelation of my life ) College is not like high school , you don't just study to pass to next year , you actually have to SEEK for knowledge . You don't just learn information to pass your finals. You actually learn the information and process it so you can work with it , when you understand that it becomes a bit, but in the end, it's way effective

Unfortunately, in Russia we don’t have any options at college. There is a program and you have no opportunity to choose what subject you want to study. I relate to the part of going above the college knowledge. I study German filology with additional English [by myself] and I plan to do French too and... I write translation to songs in my free time. I absolutely love thinking about all the rhymes, synonyms and phrasal verbs! I also love etymology and I read about it a lot in my free time. I know it's not for everyone, but definitely for me.

Farah, sorry this is not related to the video but I had a question. My friend says that listening to the Quran while scrolling through reels on instagram is okay. But I don’t agree. She says she doesn’t have time to listen to it any other way so why not while scrolling through the memes. I told her it’s disrespectful but she says we should avail any chance to get good deeds. Who do you think is right? (Sorry I don’t have anyone else to ask this)
Your friend is listening to Quran as if she’s listening to music. She is focusing on scrolling more. It’s a shame she thinks it’s fine. May Allah guide her.
she shares her views on how listening to only Quran helped her in her no music video, you can reference that video to your friend and tell her how scrolling is distracting her brain and her soul from what they can be achieving if she devoted both those things to Quran only.

@@chip_bag2566Asalamualykum friend i think you should tell your friend that if she can only listen to Quran while scrolling through social media she shouldn’t listen because its not right to treat the Holy book as something trivial in Surah Al A’raf Allah says “ When the Quran is recited, listen to it attentively and be silent, so you may be shown mercy.” the goodness of the Quran is felt when you actually pay attention its not just something poetic its something that heals. Inshallah tell your friend instead of just only using your time to scroll try dividing it in half and fully paying attention to the Quran. I hope this helps and Jummah Mubarak ❤️

I have to be honest, you have no idea how this video helped me... Just yesterday I was literally thinking about ending everything you know. I felt so little, as if I was nobody. I said to myself several times why should I keep going? That's not going to make any difference. I am muslim so I believe that really helped me not doing it actually but feeling like that..? I felt pain. Physical pain. From overthinking. I am having rough time literally every aspect of my life, but when you said "you get to" made me realize some stuff. I am really grateful that I actually listened you. I will be praying for everyone that needs it to night. Thank you.
Unfortunately, in Russia we don’t have any options at college. There is a program and you have no opportunity to choose what subject you want to study. They just tell you hey you will learn Latin even if you don’t want to and btw you have to pass the exam bye😇 This shit makes studying so boring and I’m kinda thinking of dropping out of college because I just don’t like what and how we study

I made it to graduate a college even thought I was depressed about my life and failing tons of tests.
After listening to your podcast, I do believe that something greater than humans allowed me to do that, Farah.
Though I'm not necessarily a religious person, there were some moments in my life that reminded me of it.
