Thanks for the review Tom. On this evidence it won't be replacing my iGSports as my back up head unit though. The latter boasts good mapping and an astonishing battery life for rather less money. It doesn't have a tough screen but, for me at least, that's a plus point. Enjoy your Spanish cycling - you're missing owt here😂.

My pleasure Rob, what IGPSport model do you have BTW ?

@@englishcyclist Hi Tom. I've got the 630. I bought it in January '23 for £140. I think they're on to the 800 now. My main unit is the Bolt 2 which has generally performed brilliantly, but on Audaxes I like to have a spare, just in case.
PS - Error in my first comment: should read TOUCH screen🥴.

Can not argue at that price, main reason I went with Coros is the price versus Garmin & Karoo latests offerings and of course knowing full well I was about to buy a running watch (at the time either a Garmin or Coros Pace 3) - all in all the Coros came out all in cheaper - £250 for thehead unit and £204 for the Pace 3 (thanks for the discount name drop Donna!) The Pace 3 watch is rated pretty well also and with amazing battery life too. Hoping the Dura gets better mapping , like I say in the video I do like it but I like the price better.

lovely ride in lovely countryside! I'd really appreciate it if you could watch DC rainmakers video from 3 months ago and his later follow-up when they did a firmware update, and compare your device now to that device then and the problems that he mentions. I did a RUclips search and don't see any videos that do that. I'm sure he'll get to it eventually from the way he's talking in those two videos, probably not till next spring. and I'm guessing most videos are going to be like this one, or the more standard review where you can't trust anything they say because they're getting paid

DC made some good points in the early video, that's what his channel is all about comparing all cycling tech against the best versus the worst. For me it is really, does it do the job I want for the price I am willing to pay? yes & yes ! the mapping is rubbish (currently) but I have come from a Karoo 2 mapping so my expectations may be slightly higher. Battery life is out of this world, I've not charged it since the first time out of the box and still on 60%, granted not many miles but that is 2 weeks sat around. The menu is the same as my Coros Pace 3 watch and it all syncs up perfect and fast to all services like Strava - Firmware has been updated since Sept/Oct re-launch and for me as a non power meter user (currently) it is fine and exact. I did say in this video if the mapping was more like Open street map, well seems it is open street map after all! just needs that little extra on the mapping and I will be very happy but then I am happy I only paid £250 for it and not the £650 for the newer Garmin.

A nice place to ride. Never heard an Englishman call a truck a truck instead of lorry before.

It was making a right noise coming down that hill hitting them speed bumps! Mm I’d say a lorry is an articulated wagon and a truck not.

Hi, with the last firmware version, if you are in a free ride (not using a track) will show a climb, and profile when you are starting it?
Is good the screen on sun?
About maps can you see the name of the roads, villages, ...and in any gravel envairoment, can you distinct paved roads than unpaved or trails, via colours or something like that in the map?
    Thanks

Hi, The screen is too small to make out the names whilst moving but the screen here is in bright daylight and still very visible! My Karoo K2 would have had issue due to reflection. I will be riding Gravel and MTB Trail soon - so I will make a point to run through the good bad & ugly of the unit in these environments. Stay tuned a for a video next weekend - Mon/Tue for that and any questions you want answering please drop them under here.
