I left the sport after his departure. F1 was already slowly becoming the shadow of herself. I couldn't like the perennial research to be artificially appealing and politically correct. That ridiculous qualifying format...pure no-sense, one flying lap but fuel amount to complete race 1st stint, then parc ferme rule LOL...the introduction of v8s, all the chaotic, erratic overruling by race direction and FIA...and other miserable stuff.
I think that even though the sport was taking a different direction at that time, some of the changes had to be made as there were always some flaws, like with the qualy systems they had, so they had to change that over and over again. Tbh i'm happy with the qualy format we have now (which was introduced in '06) but i was also a fan of the one flying lap qualy sessions. As for the V8's, they weren't at the same level of the V10's but they weren't that bad either, and their first few years were quite good. 2009 marked the sport's downhill.

My favourite driver ever. I was a huge JPM fan since F3000 days. Great comp with a lot of rare footage!
He was one of the boldest drivers i've ever seen. Really miss him in F1. Thank you!

Why was I born in 2004, I missed the good times of F1
JPM i my favourite driver from 2001 and i'm still watching his races in IMSA.. this video is one if my favourites..really good job my friend!
Thank you!
Really like your montages. Missing BMW and Montoya in F1. There are not alot videos like this about montoya.
Thank you! It's hard to believe that such a good driver doesn't get that much attention from F1 youtubers, i have to agree with you on that one.
JPM is one of the GOATS of Motorsport. Very few have had as much success as he has in as many categories.
What a great driver Montoya was
Best driver ever!
