As with many of the small speaking parts, the barber was played by an announcer who worked for KGMB radio and TV, which was the CBS affiliate station in Honolulu.
There's a storyline blunder in this episode. If you look closely at the comics on the table at about 1.52, you'll see that the comic strip starring Danny as the crooked cop had already been drawn and printed...but how can that be when at that point in time, Palmer the artist hadn't even arrived in Hawaii to discuss the storyline they're going to use to catch the killer. It predates its own inception!
Steve calls the paper cause he spots a connection with the comic "Judy Moon" (0:42). (Or is it really that he needs to catch up with his favs Peanuts, B.C., Wizard of Id, Andy Capp, Broomhilda, Mary Worth, and Apartment 3-G?).
Yes I agree with you!!! Danno was and is my favorite and I didn't like it when he got hurt. Okay I didn't like it when any of them got hurt but still. Thanks for input! :)
I love this series and I would like to watch the series, but it looks like CBS is keeping a tight short leash on 5-0. I can't even watch the series on my Amazon Prime Video. Interestingly enough I can easily view the entire Magnum P.I. series (1980s) from Amazon Prime, strange...

I rememberthis episode. I felt for the boy. Thanks for the upload. :)
The ending is very moving too. It's hard not to feel sorry for him. You could see it written all over Danno's face.
