Brand New LRS Rear Loader Garbage Truck in the Snow

One of the newest rear loaders running out of the Elburn, IL shop! Many things stand out about this truck that make it quite different from the LR Heil RLs that LRS has previously bought. Perhaps most obvious is that this one is a 25 yard body, rather than the typical 20 yarders they usually buy. The only downside to this cab is that it isn’t stand up on the right side, which is kind of a pain on routes like this where you have to get out a couple hundred times throughout the day. They also bought it without the pedestrian guards on the side, which looks so much nicer in my opinion. Most of their LR Heils don't have winches at all, and the ones that do have spool winches instead of reeving cylinders, and dual tippers instead of the center mounted tipper. The rest of the week this driver does rural routes where there's a combination of rear load cans and carts, and this is the only day where he has dense blocks of alleys. The driver handled the snow super well, and even though it doesn’t look like much it was still pretty slick. Pretty fun video to film, shoutout to the driver for always being so cool!
