thank you so much! This is amazing way to get started with complex current ML work, without having to install lots of software on my own laptop which is not fast to run it) wonderful.
So awesome for education. Can follow along and try out your own projects without needing a Master's degree, patience, and 36 hours to blow to get the environment set up right.
@@edgar_benitez Sure there's some benefit to knowing how to set all this up manually by ourselves, but there's a similar value in doing all our coding in notepad.exe rather than using an IDE. This can make work quicker, too, even for those who already know how to do it manually. The overhead in keeping things complicated scares too many people away, and makes work move super slowly for those who stick to it. I think anything which lowers the barrier to entry and allows more people to more easily do more things is great (:
Open sourcing software source code and now even infrastructure is revolutionary. One can learn and implement technologies that took millions of dollars and decades of research by one of the best brains in the world, sitting at home, for absolutely free.
Here I thought Deep learning would be hard... Turns out it is just minor coding and learning how to use tools like Colab and Tensorflow. Sure, to master it one should learn mathematics to coding and everything in between! But I'll worry about that in time, thank you Google!
actually, if you look at the top-right corner you can see that the notebook wasn't yet connected to a Python runtime... so really that was 5 seconds to get a runtime allocated, connected, initialised, and then run the line of code, which seems fast enough
Someone unlawfully uploaded my children’s book to Google Collab. I have made contact and been informed Google Collab does not come with Customer Support. How would I go about getting this removed?
If Colab could switch between all popular programming languages, I would find it very useful. I'm sure Python is awesome, but I don't know a thing about it, and am currently trying to learn a bit about Java. I also want to learn other programming languages as I go along. I can't seem to get all the different Java related things to install and work correctly on my PC, so Colab would solve that, if it had a Java option.
"In the next cell we loop through the range printing the square of each number" I'm no coder but that's not what happened -- it just printed the numbers in the range 1:10. Don't get me wrong I love this guy's style, but this was a rookie mistake that the editors should've picked up
its any way to get the google colab, setup info?, i try to run a object detection on colab and it works awesome but when i try to replicate on my local machine, it does not work and no errors shown either...
Hi, my session is crushing everytime with google colab because the entire ram is used(this is the eroor that i get) so i increased the ram to 25go but still having the same problem so could you please help me i need your help, thank you.
And here were I suffering in the search of a suitable distribution of this for several less technical clientes in order to replace excel and sheets forever.
Please anyone can help me on how can i make the TPUS 8 GPUs recognizable because i type !nvidia-smi and i receive that NVIDIA cannot find any device please update to latest drivers. I can't make it work the TPUS and see the info.
Jake's happy, I'm now happy, the comments below seem happy. Generally a happy 3 mins. Unrelated.... Just imagine the relentless hours of mental gymnastics to pull "Colab" as the nickname from Colaboratory. Pure Fking Geniuses or PFGs as people call them.
The clarity and the "getting to the point" part of this video is unreal. The world needs more tutorials like this.
literally perfect
Such a lifesaver. I can finally stop melting my poor old computer's brains by making it train neural networks for hours on end.
This is like having a rich uncle who doesn't mind letting you use his mansion to have fun
Great analogy
@America Project wow thats awesome
Wow you really hit the nail on the head here. haha
thanks to your team many university students from Brazil can study data science without relying on expensive PCs

Another Awesome FREE Google Product! It is scary (in a good way), how perfectly it integrates into Google Drive! Thanks Google Colab Team! 👍
correct
@@Q_QQ_Q If it is "FREE" then does anyone has predictions how soon the product will be moved to Google Graveyard?
@@mnivityok Don't worry Google has launched a paid version of it, Google collab pro, so probably they are not going to go that route.

So... Jupyter Chromebook.
haha yes
I will definitely be making a video about this soon!

They definitely have visionaries at Google.
It’s Jupyter on top of GCP. In other words, Kaggle, but 8 years later.
0:58 those aren't squares of the numbers (:
Thank you
ha ha I am just like you... first thing I noticed was that logical error in the audio or code :)
forgot to square lol
thank you team tensorflow and colab for explaining this.
Thank you so much! This is amazing way to get started with complex current ML work.
making jake to introduce colab ? Cha Cha real smooth, I know I'm late
this project will help so many students, i wish that i found about this earlier ....
in special w the Machine Learning courses, no more AWS credits wasted in basic tutorials lol

You are the cultured one
Most underrated Google product? I think so!
This is Brilliant from Google
Great overview. Just for note - the very first code fragment does not print squares as promised ;-)
What is the significance of google colab if jupyter notebook already exists ? What is its extra need ?
This is legit amazing
Thanks very much for all team and Google service
sorry, the seedbank is not found anymore
the only thing I can say
Thank you so much google for Google Colab :)
Great. But where should the data live? Typically they are huge -- much larger than my Gdrive limit.
Very Nice Introduction

That's a fast Jupyter Chromebook.
5 seconds to print 'hello world'

Hi 1:01 is it just printing the element itself rather than the square?
Yes. That was a mistake in the video that nobody else bothered to point out.
@@DanDascalescu-dandv Yeah it's crazy how nobody else seems to notice this?! glad I'm not crazy
Just getting started with ML and AI using Tensorflow and Python... definitely faster than my HP ProBook

Thanks for making it free....
Will our data be secure??
This is the cloud , you can never know ....
secure from whom... Google itself is the biggest threat for worthy content ;-)
iirc once it hits drive in every meaningful sense of the word it's not "your" data anymore, it's google's

Can this run a program in the background? meaning when i close the page, it keeps running and sending API calls for example?
What happened to the seedbank?? It appears to be gone.
This is great but credit should be given to Stephen Wolfram. This is just as a Mathematica Notebook, for Python. Great concept
