Not a fan of the Bomber's! But as an onlooker, thought Heppells legacy as a Bomber was definitely disrespected 🤷🏾♂️
I agree. Its a problem across the AFL for a few years.
I disagree that his legacy was disrespected by the club. Their socials were flooded with Heppell content. The team all ran out with Hepp on their jumpers.
He was definitely good enough to play against Carlton so it’s a real shame that he wasn’t selected and I don’t think it was the right call. But that’s not a sign of disrespect when compared with everything else the club did for him in the lead up.
Which part of his legacy do you feel needs to be respected most? Is the doping or the failure to succeed? 😂
@@Termintor1 Interesting point but to be fair, I dont blame any players for the bombers doping scandal. Decisions like that are made at the highest level, players just do what they're told. The players were punished, suspended and shamed in the media when they were just following orders and none of them really knew what was going on.
Heppel stuck fat when most players left the bombers. It would have been easy for Heppell to leave the club at the time like other players but he stuck around and stayed loyal to a club, who destroyed a lot of players careers..
Im a Norf supporter but Essendon should have been extra respectful given the history.
@@tubester4567 Maybe people in the position of a being a top level sportsman should know whats going on. Playing dumb doesn’t cut it unfortunately. Lets be honest, Heppell is a slow plodder who probably wasnt going to get much interest anywhere else. Would you want Dyson Heppell plodding around with your midfield with no speed, little arms like 17 year old and no much to show for himself success wise?
llordo knows. its not about the individual but the clubs ethos. same as dusty
Especially when you're a club like essendon trying to make a shift in your culture as a whole.
Oh yeah 😂 Trying to say to Petracca to harden up because he had same injury .. He was a flog when he played and he's a flog now
@@7star7storm7 Lloyd was/is a flog??
Coleman medallist, 100 goals in a season twice, 5 x All Australian etc. When it comes to the essence of competitive footy he knows plenty about plenty. What he says backs up what he achieved. If anyone is a flog it's you pal, assuming of yourself that you know anything about what it is to be an elite footballer and play at AFL level.
Lloyd is spot on, we've been shanking it in front of goal, in big moments for years. so frustrating given their obvious talent.
Dodoro is the most important delisting any team will make this off season.
He's like Jason at the end of each Friday the 13th movie. You think he's dead but then the hand emerges from the lake. I'll believe it when I see it.
@@desiolle2874 he definitely doesn't want to go.
So, I assume every draft pick will automatically turn into a superstar now?
🙄
@@slingblade8963 Nope. It's a cultural thing. Essendon is an arrogant club that is stuck in the past, and Dodoro typifies that.
@@tb7667 then wtf are you blabbing about? Dodoro goes or stays it doesn't change anything.
Llordo hit the nail on the head 👍
The mistake with Heppell was playing him against Brisbane. Consistency of decision making is more important than the individual decision. If they deemed him not good enough last week he still isn’t good enough this week. Every game is important if you are trying to build a winning culture. Every player should know that it is team first.
Weiderman wasn't good enough last week.
@@slingblade8963 weiderman and heppell play in different positions
Heppell not making the team last week is a slap in the face. The fact is, he was in better form than plently of blokes on that pathetic best 22 squad.
Why does damo always have something to say. He’s got more mouth than forehead, Heppell can is literally better than all Essendon defence
no he aint
Don't think you'd get far in the media by saying 'no comment'
Hawks dodged a bullet not getting McKay
And with the 2 recruits their looking at for the off season about to get 2 deadly backs next year
McKay would be in AA form if he was playing for the Hawks. Essendon have a long, 20 year tradition of not developing players. Most latest example is D'Ambrosio, who Essendon traded away and now he's a lock for AA this year
Damo is the biggest toss on the panel
He's an AFL mouthpiece
Neale is clearly already an all time great
Scott was the AFL's pick, not necessarily the clubs best pick.
Lloyd is still bitter about his exit.. and rightfully so. I believed he had a couple of years left in him.
As for Hepp, if he played last week and they won, his farewell game could have been in Brisbane anyway..!?
32 scoring shot's to 17 and the lion's ONLY won by 20 point's ...Houston brisbane have a problem !!!!!!!!!!!
I had bombers 35.5 sounds like I got a lucky payoff there 😂
Blew a top 4 spot because of inaccurate kicking
Llordo just says it how it is, and he’s right
As a Brissy supporter, I get anxiety anytime they have a set shot. Worst goal kickers in the league. The BFC needs to obtain some forwards from other clubs
Luke Parker... clutching...
He is a clutch player . He would have had about 50 goals this season if not for injury and suspension.
Brad Scott doing the same thing he did at North now at the Bombers.
Really? When have the Bombers made a prelim under Scott?
Next year better be his last if they perform the same as this year.
@@linkvagar2336 lol 10 years one prelim. Good luck bombers.
Yeah let’s listen to Damo who obviously understands more about Essendon that lloydy lol
Funny how its Brad Scott again. Its like he learnt nothing with Boomer
agree with that for sure.
Stop trying to grand stand Jones - Loyyd is 100 % correct on the trust theme , Bris fall short . Past your use by date Jones , step aside you are a total flog
I wonder was Reyner affected by the big hit he had. I trust him… Geelong supporter here. But the rest are inaccurate… it has been a long time for Daniher… I always think we have a chance for him to miss lol
Rayner is a front runner
Need McCarthy back. He was a dead eye. Besides Reyner, the rest a joke at set shot.
I’ll eat my words if brisbane win the flag, but they’ve wasted so many opportunities to win a flag. Wasted 6 years.
Tigers were the best between 2017 to 2021
@@michaellancuba5507 110%, easily.

@@michaellancuba5507 tigers missed the 8 in 2021
When does and when did Lloyd miss?
My team The Bumblers (Essendon) is weaker than the girls side. I really mean it. I’m not paying for membership until you starting winning finals. Caro is right there is bad culture at the club stuck in the past a lot. All the coaches there have FAiLED!
Same, the club and players don't care about success when it has Anzac day and Dreamtime locked up and high membership numbers and fees.
Until members financially demand effort and consistency the club will never change and just rest on Sheedys success.
bummers are a complete rabble - Heppell was one of their best players in a mediocre era and still couldn't get a proper send off at home in front of the fans for his loyalty and service. Speaks to the terrible culture and environment at windy hill
They hardly clashed, was a merre conversation.
Nah no free games for Heppell. Has no future at the club. Talk about his legacy, his legacy was the softest captain in the history of the game.
Damo is an idiot lol the season was no different… it was very different. The Bombers were competitive in almost every game, they won more close games early and lost close games late. They have some missing important pieces, need a gun big forward. And a key back that can stay healthy, Laverde, Kelly etc can’t be there, Need Ridley and Reid to find a way to be consistently on the park.
The only real difference from last season is we don't regularly get pumped. Otherwise its the exact same finishing position on the ladder, the same horrific percentage and the exact same drop off in the second half of the season. Simply not good enough and Brad Scott has a lot to answer to for it with his dreadful gameplan, horrific mid-week team selections all year, just 3 young debutants in his 2 years which is the least amount in the competition and his pathetic excuses in post match press conferences that have only encouraged even more mediocrity.
Essendon failed with the chance to show some leadership and culture, and left Hepple out, and so many other players capitulated….. Essendon are still a basket case of a club….
Neale is probably the most overrated player in afl history
Lloyd writing off the lions after winning 9 in a row in a season when there’s 5 upsets a week. What a fool.
They are literally one of the most inefficient teams in the competition for the whole season. It is more than justified to write them off when Finals footy is all about efficiency.
@@taliamason7986 Nonsense. All the other teams in the top 8 have been highly inefficient too for large periods lately resulting in dropping games left right & centre with the exception of hawthorn. To single Brisbane out & write them off while not doing the same for the other teams is complete stupidity
We will find out soon enough, should be a very interesting finals series. I can’t pick a winner, Carlton v Brisbane will be a cracker
They've had 3 impressive wins against good teams that weren't going very well at the time,Port dogs and Swans lucky to beat crows demons and West Coast, haven't beaten Geelong hawks or gws and Carlton this year, hopefully they can fix that next game but I wouldn't put money on it that's for sure
@@Jonathan-Sund ur dreaming. Carlton v Brisbane will be a 1 sided blow out. Carlton r garbage
People are sick and tired of Lloyd going on and on about what Essendon is doing right when they win and all the sooky over analysis when they are losing. 2000 was ages ago yet these prem players holding this dud team to those standards all the time. 2000 was lightning in a bottle and they haven’t come close since. Lloyd needs to get over it.
I'm not. He's a loyal and passionate supporter. He wants the new guys to have success like he did. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
What do you expect him to do. That's his job 😅😅😅
Don’t agree, I’m a dons fan and I’d rather be a North fan in terms of where both clubs are.
I’m confused, you’re saying the team is dud, but he needs to stop comparing them to the team of 24 years ago. Each new list will be compared to the list that last won a GF. 80% of the current list is garbage & what’s worse EFC somehow thought to pay top dollar. Look at McKay…my gosh he’s beyond bad
definitely not sick of it, the "people" you refer to are the salty essendon fanbase and yourself. His analysis is always fair and when they were doing well he still addressed things they need to improve on. He's easily the most fair footy commentator i've heard IMO.
