I use mine for trainspotting a lot. I can see if the block indicator lights turn on from far away to know a train is approaching and in open valley I can spot them approaching from 15 miles away.
Surprisingly the same honestly. The only difference is just more magnification. Vortex makes a surprisingly nice bright glass. I you wanna do a lot of night though I would get the 36mm version, they make the regular green solo (not the R/T) in 36m objective lens. Only reason I got the 25mm instead was because I don't like the clip on the side, even if you take it off there's still the block sticking out where the clip screws in.

Have you tried using it at night? How does he behave at night? I have a Vortex solo 8x25 and it's great to use at night.
