What do you think of the Christopher Ward The Twelve?

The CW 12 is an amazing watch for the price point. Best of all, you can actually enjoy it without having to worry about scratching it or getting it stolen off of your wrist.

The Ti upgrade seems worth the extra coin. SW300, COSC, Ti over steel (personal preference), and 1mm thinner all add up to the price premium.

    • @jaer.6540
      @jaer.6540 4 месяца назад

But there is no coating on the Ti at all, so it scratches even if you breathe on it. CW fumbled the ball on that one...

@jaer.6540 That's just what you get with Grade 2 (pure titanium). Tudor Pelagos is Grade 2 also. People don't seem to mind.

@@saodavi6267 Perhaps Tudor users better know how to enjoy patina and scratches of their watches ;)
For every scratch you need to memorize some funny and/or emotional moment related to this missfortune accident and later you can cherrish it whenever you look at this particular scratch :))
If that will not fully help one may try to re-affirm oneself everyday (in front of mirror?) that watches are to wear and enjoy them not to worry about them (and keep them in watch box to avoid scratches?).
Have a great day gentelmans! :)

Grade 2 ti is no stronger than steel and far more scratchable. The only benefit is the weight (if you like lightweight).

It’s a great looking watch. They seem to be making nice pieces these last few years.

Is it aqua blue or is it green? Are all of these images the same watch? It looks aqua blue and not green in some of these images.

I have the Ti model, and I think that the upgrades are well worth the added cost. You get a thinner case, greater accuracy, and greater power reserve. The gradient dial may or may not be your preference.

How's the quality of the bracelet? does it feel solid? I think the dial of the watch is beautiful and quite unique but a bracelet can make or break a watch for me.

Sometime he looks more blue than Green, but love the dial !

60 days to look at it at home and decide if you like the color in real life/light and if you don't you can exchange or return it for free for full refund :)

2 Antartiques later, i also bought the 12..The 12 ia surprisingly good but the bracelet still needs refinement around the edges. The double clasp should be improved to a CW logo instead of the wording CW.

Bought one of these in steel 40mm, received it Monday, in 5 days it's almost a minute fast, crap for a watch that cost me over $1900 cad all in.
It's going back. Maybe I'll think about another try when they either have solid dial colors in titanium with the better SW-300 movement, and the micro adjust found on the Twelve X. Otherwise it's a no for me unfortunately , because the design is actually quite nice.

The ice blue dial is gorgeous but has terrible legibility so I had to sell it. I do like the green dial though. Is it available in the larger size?

    • @wristenthusiast

This is the 40mm. I didn’t think they made it larger than that

Hello and thanks for this video. I really like CW but the Twelve, steel or titanium, does not worth the prices, imo. Mostly because of the movement inside, even if it is a COSC one.

I owned one and it was well worth it. I moved on because I buy a watch for summer that I sell each year. It was the blue titanium version and was an incredible watch that I wore most of last summer.

Agreed. Can’t really justify third party movements anymore.

watch looks great but after having a watch with toolless mciro adjust bracelet, I won't be buying any more that don't have this feature.

I really don’t get the hype with this one. CW as a brand is only 20 years old, no heritage. An integrated sports watch from them is very transparent trend chasing. Also third party movements never fail to leave me cold above $500 or so. Really just a picture perfect “no man’s land” 1-3k USD watch like most of CW’s stuff. I’d honestly rather have the PRX even with the plastic Powermatic movement.
