Karen Davila interviewed her about how the band started, & how they slowly became popular doing livestreams during the pandemic lockdowns back in 2020. Unfortunately the intervuew has no English captions, but here's a summary. During that time, the band had no income coz no gigs, everything was closed. Philippines had extreme lockdowns for months. They decided to do livestreams. It took them 4ever to come up with money to buy a router, & a friend offered to pay for their internet service. Some members of the band could barely feed their families. The band & crew decided to temporarily live in Gigi's small living room, & recorded their livestreams in the pianist's garage nearby. Then their videos started to became viral. Gigi got signed by a talent agency & she moved to a new house which is also their music studio.
She became popular during that tv singing competition. She did not win even her singing was good enough. The tv network has a favorite it wasn't her. It was a very tough competition they were singing live daily on that show. Their songs mostly were power ballads so imagine it's like a throat olympics. Some of them almost lost their voices during that competition and they cried since it is like a do or die weeklong with evryday rehearsals. After the competition finally ended ( she didn't win it was the tv network fav who won )she made a few tv guestings singing with other popular artists. Then when tv appearances ended she went back to singing with her band in weddings, corporate events, funerals, big birthday parties as big as a wedding event etc. The pandemic stopped her from singing so they went on YT livestreaming taking live requests to earn from money sent by followers of their livestream. When her livestreaming went viral subscribers grew so fast because of that biggest tv network made her their talent and that is why she got to do a concert in the USA and middle east (her biggest crowd sold out concert.
