"Navigating the Pacific Above and Below the Water” features Marine Biologist Dr. Nicole Yamase of Chuuk and Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia and Satawalese Master Navigator Sesario Sewralur discussing their experiences and reflections on exploring above and below the deepest parts of our oceans.
During the 2024 Festival of the Pacific Arts, the Polynesian Voyaging Society convened a two-day Mālama Honua Ocean Summit to discuss key issues surrounding the protection of our oceans and the practice of traditional voyaging and wayfinding.
