Yeah this song was definitely pretty big, I remember hearing it on the radio a lot back then and even now occasionally. This song wasn't in Transformers but I agree that it has those vibes. When you thought you'd heard a LP song with a similar name you were probably thinking of Burning in the Skies off of A Thousand Suns.
There was a second version of "Iridescent" (the music video version) from A Thousand Suns used for Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon in 2011, that was the last time a Linkin Park song was used on the Transformers soundtracks
Well, you were absolutely correct about this song being the big one on the album haha! Radio stations (at least here in germany where I live) literally played it all day long back when it came out :D
