  • Can you install a ‪@TrumaNorthAmerica‬ water heater in your RV? The answer is probably yes! If you have a six or ten gallon traditional water heater in your RV than Truma can upgrade it to their AquaGo Comfort water heater. A Truma AquaGo comfort water heater is Instant, constant and endless. The Truma AquaGo instant water heater supplies hot water reliably around-the-clock for showering, rinsing, and hand washing in recreational vehicles. AquaGo instant water heater is the most powerful appliance on the market, yet it is characterized by its compact dimensions, straightforward operating procedures like at home, maintenance-friendly internal components, and numerous safety features.
Truma hybrid technology keeps the temperature constant - no scalding
Exclusive decalcification technology - extends life and maintains performance
Simply open "Easy Drain Lever" - winterization done
When Sabrina and I started having issues with our existing water heater we gave Truma a call to see if they would be able to upgrade our RV with one of their water heaters and luckily the answer was yes!
So I scheduled a service appointment with them so they could install their AquaGo tankless water heater and in this video I share that experience. The first thing to do before you arrive is empty your grey tank, fill your freshwater tank and make sure you have at least half a tank of propane before arriving at Truma in Elkhart Indiana. All of this is so they can test the system after the install. The Truma service center in Elkhart has two campsites available with fresh water and 50amp service. There is no dump station there so be sure to do that before you arrive. I did arrive the night before my appointment and took advantage of their campsite, just be aware that the campsites are first come first serve so there could be a chance you do not get one.
The next morning, I went into the office and checked in, basically just let them know that I was there and ready for my appointment. They took me into the service bay thirty minutes early and began work on my RV very quickly. The service techs were great and answered all of my questions and when the install was finished, they went over how the system worked and performed not only a leak test of the water system, but also on our propane system as well. The entire install/test took under four hours and now Sabrina and I are enjoying endless hot water in our RV while at the same time conserving energy and propane.
That is one of the great things about the AquaGo system it uses less propane and gets our water hotter and faster than ever before.
If you would like to upgrade your water heater be sure to give Truma a call and see what they can do for you.

If you are interested in having your water heater upgraded to a Truma system be sure to reach out to them, as they will be doing installs at this year's Hershey RV show in Pennsylvania.

That looks like it can work in our airstream.

I believe as long as it's a water tank size of 6 to 16 gallons they can install their AguaGo in its place.

Oh very nice! We were able to enjoy the unlimited hot water for the first time at a campground a few days ago. It's amazing!

    Calcium build up ???

    • @MovingForwardAdventures
      @MovingForwardAdventures  9 месяцев назад

The Truma AquaGo has a self clean mode that removes calcium build up. They recommend ro put it in self clean mode once a year. I think the self clean mode tanks about 4 hours, so you will have to plan to do it on a day that you can go 4 hours without using water

Can I ask how much it cost you to have that done?

Hi Tommy, I am looking for the receipt to double check, but I believe it was right around $1800 installed at their facility. I know you can have it done at other places, but I was close enough to them amd felt it was worth the drive to have Truma it do rather than a service center. The whole team there was great and they walked me through everything, from installation, testing, and how to operate it.

@@MovingForwardAdventures Ok thank you for the reply. I think that’s a fair price for how game changing this is, and I too would like it to be done at Truma’s actual facility… probably the one in Elkhart, we’re in MN but we’ll just use it as a vacation :)

Tommy, the exact price including install was $1899.99 and I believe having it installed in Elkhart is the way to go! They will take good care of you and your RV.

I'm not a fan of the door. I hope airstream has a solution.

Shekhar, I am honestly excited about the door, it is so much easier to use than my old water heater door.

I have a 10 gallon water heater it pretty much works for us, but I would love endless showers.

10 gallons is honestly a decent amount of water to use, especially in an RV. The Truma system is great, and we love it, but I think you are pretty good with a 10 gallon tank. If you were looking to conserve propane Truma would be the way to go.

I would have to look for my invoice for the exact price, but I think it was right around $1700 installed at their facility.
