I feel her. She's gone through so much. What's wrong is that even her parents chooses sides when they could be neutral. There's favoritism in the family and she did what she could to get out of that toxic place to save herself, and thats how she managed to develop a strong personality that til this day has long been misinterpreted. imagine a child growing up alienated of love and care. She'd turn cold, thats why even when their dad was at the hospital she didnt wanna go because of their deteriorated relationship and at the wake of their father, she still paid her respects despite what they did to her. All she wants to do is to avoid clashing with her fam. Its all against one. stay strong Grech.

Watching this in 2018, and this totally changed how I see Ms Gretchen. Now it makes sense why she so much wanted a better life. I can feel the pain, the longing for that love from parents. There's truth in this interview, and also a call, to parents, to know that how they raise their kids will really have am effect on their lives forever, and will also affect other people's lives. Yes, I can feel her sincerity in her words, in her eyes. She never felt the love of her parents may ganyang mga magulang talaga na ewan bakit sila ganun. You can see naman how she raised her daughter Dominique well mannered, classy, and a good student at school. Gretchen did the best thing to her daughter na hindi nya na experience sa parents nya. No family is perfect talaga pero shes being truth lang naman na her family is clashing kabilaan na masakit talaga para sa anak, kapatid na ganun ang nangyayari sa family nya, kahit sino naman po diba? And for claudine naman pls idol pa naman kita magpatawad, at magmove on. At kung akala mo against lahat sayo well God is always there sa atin na mga naliligaw ang landas.

Watching this made me cry and admire the honesty of Gretchen. Her strong persona and her diva-ish lifestyle is just her shield and what others will call, a defense mechanism from her hurtful past. But underneath that is a not-so-perfect but a genuine person. Because she's been through so much pain both emotionally and physically growing up as a kid up until she became a woman, her own person. It makes so much sense now why she's finally reconciled with Claudine and most especially, her mother! Because of only one thing that's in heart now and she chose to give: forgiveness. And it takes so much strength and humility to forgive the people whom you loved so much but also caused you to pain the most. Yes, it's so sad and unfortunate that it takes the death of her own father to mend things amongst them. And isn't it ironic how life can take us to an end (death) but at the same time bring us to a new beginning (rebuild a broken relationship with your family)?
It's so true what they say that those who have a strong and a fighter personality on the outside, has the most wounded yet loving spirit on the inside. At the end of it all, who do we believe now in terms of telling the truth from the very start of this family saga? Gretchen. Period.

Gusto pa nila magsinungaling si Gretch sa korte to protect their reputation tapos ano makukulong ang inosenteng tao?! Buti na lang talaga at natauhan si Claudine and she seek help and is doing way better now. It amazed me that Gretchen showered her daughter an unconditional love that Gretchen herself never had from her own parents. She reflect herself in a best way, she's a good mother to her daughter, a good sister and also a daughter but never been appreciated. Sabi nga nga ng anak nya, sya lng ang nakakakilala sa kanyang ina. She loved her daughter raised her well and that her daughter showered her the same as what she did.
