- With Cedar Point opening Top Thrill 2 this year, I wanted to see what it would look like if Kingda Ka gets an LSM retrofit and the park goes all-out with it. 3 launches (technically 6), a speed hill which gets more intense with each pass, and a reverse spike towering over the area. And there's a few alternate reverse spike designs to spice things up: leaning tower, airtime bump spike, and a spire to replace the Parachute tower (if they're removing the Parachutes, might as well find a way to one-up it)
Reverse spike height: 456'
First launch speed: 80 mph
Reverse launch speed: 110 mph
Final launch speed: 122 mph

Not gonna lie dude when the music starts at 19 seconds you literally have that perfectly in sync and time with the ride, the start, rollback and all. If this becomes a reality this is it.

This is impeccably done, and perfectly conceptualized. That last layout with the spiral spike and high-g S-bend was spectacular.
dude that airtime hill going into the top hat would be insane way more insane than the one going into the breakrun.
It's only comparable to the backwards launched airtime hill on Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Yeah it’s funny because Pantheon causes a whole earthquake everytime it goes into the spike pass the station and it’s only traveling like 60-65mph😭
That last concept with the spiral spike seems honestly like the best fit! FANTASTIC concept!
I personally don't see Zamperla redoing Kingda Ka in the future because of Zumanjaro being attached to the Kingda Ka structure, but this is a nice creation. That being said, let's hope that Kingda Ka still remains a hydraulic launch coaster until the day it desperately needs a new launch system.
It will probably never be changed because kingda ka is mega popular and unlike the old top thrill dragster, it’s not as problematic
I don't think Zumanjaro will have anything to do with it. With TT2 the top hat structure and track were not touched. Zumanjaro could still stay in this situation.

This is much crazier than the irl version, while I still appreciate the original, this one is just amazing. Imagine putting a 5 year old on it.
if they did this lets just hope they keep that launch hill because im worried dragsters launch will now be lackluster
A reimagining is the only way six flags would paint this coaster. One can only hope that the merger with cedar fair will make six flags paint their coasters more often then once every 20 years.

It’s a little drawn out so it’s probably not as dramatic as Pantheons.
Fun fact: if that speed hill was any bigger, the ride wouldn't pass ASTM standards and would be too extreme lol. The sustained airtime from the speed hill preceeding the 5g pullup into the tophat is the limiting factor

I think this is a great creation. A huge 456 ft spike would be insane. They got the land to build this. Hopefully this becomes the next upgrade this ride needs in the future
Not going to lie I thought the reverse spike was a boring addition to TT2 but this could work well with the airtime hill on the launch. I also think if it does get a revamp in the future the second "air time" hill into the break run should swing out in to the parking lot into a few elements before hitting the break run. Much more like Formula Rossa.

Here’s the thing, this is awesome but gadv confirmed during their enthusiast event (thrillathon 2023) they’re not touching kingda ka for the time being, for at least 10-15 yrs, I was there but a few other people can also confirm this with you. Cool concept to look at though. Nicely done.
Looks better than any concept for reimagined Dragster did. It actually looks really cool man. Just hoping it doesnt happen soon because I need that launch since they got rid of Dragster's.

I love this. The center station swoop is crazy. What’s that in the background? Scream machine 2.0? Also I’d love to see a version of a twisted spike like that one video of dragster somebody made with what we thought the twisted spike would look like! Sorta like Drachen spire inspired no pun intended
That's the Great(er) American Scream Machine in the background, part of a Boardwalk revamp I've been putting together. I don't have much free time these days to work on it and it's a big project, but it'll get a video when it's done. And I have an idea in mind for a Ka Spire, again just limited by my free time. Stay tuned for more videos in the future and you'll see em 👀

How do you get the detail satellite map?
redd.it/j3faaj Google Earth Decoder, you can find it at this link. If you use it, make sure to read the comments on that post about the new .dll you need to install with it. Then it's just a matter of using that tool to get the maps, importing it to Blender, then exporting to NL2.

Operations are already slow on this. Imagine what this would do. Does the second car slide in once the other one makes it over the spike?
Once the tophat is cleared, the next train can move onto the launch track, so trains will always be rolling. Theoretical capacity will be a bit lower, but the ride won't be going down for technical difficulties nearly as often so it balances out imo
That’s good! And maybe be a little less rough. I only go on Ka once in a while bec it gives me a headache. I won’t even do El Toro anymore.

NO, Ka is perfectly fine the way it is. Doing this would kill the ride. It's the worlds tallest and fastest hydraulically launched stratacoaster.
The maintenence crew made Ka one of the more reliable rides at GA.
