Ross, can I repot one of my fig trees now or should I wait for fall or next year ? It’s not a very big tree. I harvested all the figs except 2 still on the tree.
@@RossRaddi yes, thank you, Ross. I am in Pacific North, 2 months away from frost. ok , I will wait. Just that i like to deal with soil and pots in warmer weather, easier on the hands.
I wish you would go back to the 10 scale for rating. Seems like most have this as their range. That way you could give half grades and it would make more sense.
People didn't like the 10 scale as they thought 1-5 had little meaning. All I was doing really was rating 6-10. Same stuff. Different numbers really. I haven't been rating many 2s or 3s this year, but I've had plenty.
Hello Ross, I have three year old tree in pot, last year it gave me one fruit which dropped off before ripening. This year again I see only one fruit on my fig tree. Am I doing something wrong?
Off topic but how often did you apply your silica supplement?? Just curious. I have a large garden and don't want to do it every watering because I'd be going through a lot of this product, so just wanted to see how much you did to get the results. Grazi grazi
DE can be used like snow hero mentions. Rice hulls too, but probably less consistent application of the silica. I use mine as a foliar spray. You have to be careful about inhaling DE, so I switched.
Hey Ross have you ever thought about growing figs on a large scale. I suppose the best place in the US would be california to start something like that. I watched this video from over a decade ago. I thought I wonder if much has changed. ruclips.net/video/JuZMKUk_Xnk/видео.html

I don't know where you live, but I would wait if you're 2 months away from frost like I am.

What would you rank it with the other early figs? I'm interested to try these in NH 5b
At the very top.

also you can add a couple of table spoons of food grade diatomaceous earth to top feed and it will water in over a few weeks
