Brilliant trip! Thanks for sharing. That portage access was bananas. There is a pretty high one leading from Three Mile Lake to North Sylvia in AP that I tackled a few years ago that I thought was bad... but now it doesn't seem quite as crazy, LOL!

As you know, I’ve done some pretty crazy portages. This one just surprised me because I hadn’t really heard anything about it. But when I saw the water levels just a few months earlier in realized it’s just this difficult for this time of year, it made more sense. I’m glad you enjoyed the trip. Thank you for your continued support. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful journey. I think even if the water was higher, that would have been a challenging access. Thanks again, be well my friend.

I enjoyed your video. I have some good memories of camping on Ruth Roy lake with my family. The most recent memory was on the May long weekend earlier this year. I stayed at the site closer to the portage. I did not have any issues at the portage but the water levels were definitely higher. Years ago, I did follow a path behind the site and saw Johnny Lake. It was foggy that day. The site is a bit small for a couple of tents and a bug shelter. My daughters ended up setting up their tent on the side of a hill. Now, I want to check out the other site!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and for sharing your information. I was very curious to know if that other campsite did have a path to Johnnie Lake. Thank you so much for confirming that. The other site is very very nice. Hopefully you get to check it out soon! Cheers !

Nope. It’s been for sale. Hasn’t sold and I haven’t found my new home. It’s off the market until spring. Cheers

You made that portage look easy. Do you ever get nervous when you’re in the middle of a big lake? Beautiful trip

Sometimes. Ever since I dumped and then almost dumped a second time shortly after due to crazy winds. I’m slowly getting settled again but it’ll take more time I think? Hahaha I was on that portage for a very long time on the way in. I spent a while thinking of how to get through it more easily on the way out. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers !

@ I did not know that. That had to be scary, glad you didn’t get hurt. I imagine after that it would take time to get back in 5h3 grove

There are no videos as I lost my phone. I am doing a presentation on it in the spring. I mentioned it on the horse lake trip afterwards but haven’t posted much about it.
