Some of my friends did Puffs, and a bunch of them had to pretend to be "drunk"but in a middle school play, you can't talk about alcohol, so they were drunk on coffee, it was hilarious.
Was one of the drunken jews in Fiddler On the Roof. Can confidently say it was the most fun I'd ever had on stage. Especially as a person who doesn't drink lol.
well I don’t think it would bee too much of an issue if you are an actor. you could easily say, “I’ve seen drunk people before” or you could say you were taught how to act drunk.
When I was in high-school I played Madame Thenardier and I had an entire crisis about how I had to act and the language I had to use in front of my mother (now I'm just like "Kay in this show I say this" and list them so she knows 😂)
I just did this when we performed little shop of horrors and it’s so nice to be a drunk and just pass out on the ground. I almost fell asleep to somewhere that’s green
We did Les mis in high school. Tenth grade I got to be the wife and mother of two and an alcoholic 😂 best memory was while Eponine is dying my friend’s mic pack popped off her bra, she starts whispering “console me while I cry for her and put your hand up the back of my shirt NOW!” 😂😂😂
I performed in Les mis like a month ago and it’s so fun to be on stage pretending to be drunk, we had a foam goose head and I’d whack my friends with it and they kept stealing my hat but that’s ok cause we’re all meant to be drunk. It’s so fun being able to mess around with your mates while on stage and not get told off for it lol
I don't think you've been to Karaoke at a bar huh 😂 I mean not all are the Christina A, but you get those people with either charisma, style or actual talent
Yall during the end of intermission of the show were doing the ensemble has to come out and interact with the audience and they always look insane. I love it.
This was the scene during our production of Les Mis when the fire alarm went off twice in a row and both the cast and the audience had to gather outside. So yeah, uh, when we finally got back to it, everyone was ten times angrier therefore ten times more drunk.
Great Comet captures "being smashed with your friends" perfectly because everyone follows each other and acts semi natural while also dancing on point.
Watchong people i know in my highschool theatre doing this was absolutely hilarious, because they nailed it and i wish it was recorded for others to watch
I did Anastasia recently and I was the only person in the cast who was under the age of 19 so when we got to Land of Yesterday, they had me play a barkeep and I remember joking: “Yeah, let the 17 year old serve alcohol!”
Saw Beauty and the Beast at my school recently, and seeing all my friends stumbling around pretending to be drunk during Gaston’s song was definitely one of my favorite parts
When we did Le Mis 3 years ago, this was my FAVORITE song to do! I remember the little dance some of us Ensemble got to do front stage during this part.
In the spring I was in “Our Town” and the town drunk (also the music pastor guy) was played by a really good actor, but as he has tourette’s, roles were hard. He played that dude so amazingly, and when I was less than two feet away from him I just wanted to laugh, he was so good!
One time for a drama exam, a bunch of people in my show group had to pretend to drink and had to act drunk and one girl specifically had such a real performance because her performance technically was real and nobody knew about it😂
My school did a play adaption of Treasure Island and I am not shitting you the opening scene is a bunch of drunk pirates at a bar singing while wasted. I had the honor to play one of them.
It’s even funnier when they think nobody’s watching and they break character
hi
likes
Fr😂
Or they think everyone’s watching so they forget what to do.
It’s even funnier when it’s a school show and you can tell they definitely never been drunk before 😂
Yeah when I was 11 is was in a production of Oliver. As you can imagine a bunch of 11 year olds pretending to be drunk in scene can be kind of funny.
same about the Oliver thing!! It was SO FUNNY
*side eye* Gaston in child’s community theater
Me when I was in legally blonde 😂
yes oom pah pah LOL
Love that actor forgetting his smartwatch
THIS WAS ALMOST ME 😭
i almost did this 💀
As a costume designer-- please don't forget your smartwatch 😢
I had someone yank my headphones off once cause I forgot them after intermission lol, never doing that again
Then costumes GETS YELLED AT for it not the actor. Ask me how i know?... Go on...
Some of my friends did Puffs, and a bunch of them had to pretend to be "drunk"but in a middle school play, you can't talk about alcohol, so they were drunk on coffee, it was hilarious.
We did the same in my high school but we replaced it with butter beer 😂 That was my absolute favorite show though it was a blast
WHAT some of my friends did puffs at my high school but I wasn’t able to go to it 😭
lmaoo they had us be on a “sugar rush” from the butter beer
No way!! I did Puffs as a summer show 3 years ago, and it was hilarious when a bunch of high schoolers had to act drunk 🤣
I LOVE PUFFS
It is SOOOO much more fun when you're the one acting to be hammered
Anyone else ever have to act like that???
YYYYYYEEEEEESSSS
Was one of the drunken jews in Fiddler On the Roof. Can confidently say it was the most fun I'd ever had on stage. Especially as a person who doesn't drink lol.
Or the opposite, when you know how to act drunk but you can't let your parents see you act like that 😭
well I don’t think it would bee too much of an issue if you are an actor. you could easily say, “I’ve seen drunk people before” or you could say you were taught how to act drunk.
How controlling are your parents where they get angst about how you are literally ACTING?
When I was in high-school I played Madame Thenardier and I had an entire crisis about how I had to act and the language I had to use in front of my mother (now I'm just like "Kay in this show I say this" and list them so she knows 😂)
@@decadeofmcfly no I think they meant the embarrassment. Not that their parents are controlling.
@@decadeofmcfly have you ever met some church people? I still get nervous to type the word heck
I got to slow dance with a hallucination during this song🤣
Sounds like there’s a story there 😭😭
my school production had one guy make out with a broom
Please tell us the story😂😂
Putting this here in case they ever reply with the story 😭
GIVE US THE STORY COME ON
literally everyone in Beauty and the Beast during Gaston
PFT AS I JUST CAME FROM A SCHOOL FEILD TRIP AND I JUST WATCHED BEAUTY AND THE BEAST MUSICAL

@@carkeysjingles im playing audrey and i also almost fall asleep during somewhere thats green 🙌🙏
I love being a drunk on the ground lmaoo (I’m also doing little shop of horrors but next Thursday)
@@urfavv.loveeewooo good luck!
I had to act drunk for a school show, and it was hilarious to have some of us going full, "just downed 6 beers" and others who just look a bit dizzy
Finally someone that uses POV correctly
We did Les mis in high school. Tenth grade I got to be the wife and mother of two and an alcoholic 😂 best memory was while Eponine is dying my friend’s mic pack popped off her bra, she starts whispering “console me while I cry for her and put your hand up the back of my shirt NOW!” 😂😂😂
That is HILARIOUS
That’s so funny! 😆 Gotta love those mishaps! They make the show 10 times more memorable! 😂
It’s so funny to think about it because there all drunk and then they just break into song
This is so Aaron Burr, Sir (Showtime, Showtime), My Shot, both Stories of Tonight and wedding at the start of Satisfied lmao
Fr (Istg there wasn’t an actual moment when some of those guys were sober 😭)
Grantaire must be fun af to play bc he’s always drunk😭😭
🤣
I was thinking the exact same! Him and Persephone from Hadestown must be great fun lol
Except in some interpretations of Drink With Me I think
POV- my one friend during Gaston. I’m the waiter in it and she keeps hitting me 😂
This is just so pure, I love it so freakin much lol. What a celebration of musical theater.
I performed in Les mis like a month ago and it’s so fun to be on stage pretending to be drunk, we had a foam goose head and I’d whack my friends with it and they kept stealing my hat but that’s ok cause we’re all meant to be drunk. It’s so fun being able to mess around with your mates while on stage and not get told off for it lol
and the cup that's clearly empty 😭
Hey, Master of the House! Theatre is the only place where drunks actually can sing.
I don't think you've been to Karaoke at a bar huh 😂 I mean not all are the Christina A, but you get those people with either charisma, style or actual talent
Day four of asking you to do the Rasputin dance at your curtain call
LITERALLY ME DURING A CHRISTMAS CAROL A FEW YEARS AGO😭💀
Yall during the end of intermission of the show were doing the ensemble has to come out and interact with the audience and they always look insane. I love it.
It's always the best role to play 😂❤
Oh just remembering the time I did this number and I was so in character that I got my finger stuck in a beer bottle.
Oh we did oliver
And we were givin at being
'drunk'😂
I sometimes watch the ensemble more than the leads once I’ve seen a show a time or two. You get to see hilarious things!
OMG YES!!!!!!!! also this is my FAVORITE musical i ABSOLUTELY LOVE les mis!! you’re also my fav youtuber♥️♥️
I am OBSESSED with les mis >:)
it’s so perfectly over the top i love it
pretending to be hammered on stage is one of the funnest parts of musicals 😭 doing the Gaston number in Beauty and the Beast was amazing especially
this is gonna be the guys in the background of 'Gaston' bar scene in our hs production this year of B&tB
I’m doing Puffs and there’s a scene where we’re all drunk 💀💀💀💀💀💀
I also did Beauty and The Beast and ofc I had to be drunk as well 😅
this is my favorite ensemble song from any musical ngl
My secret tip to an absolutely amazing performance is to actually be absolutely hammered
Love this musical, it’s my favorite. This scene is great
one of my favorite onstage drunk moments in from Come From Away, such an amazing musical 💜
pov me in the big dance number in oliver the musical
omggg I played little Cosette when I did this show, it was so fun to watch!
This was the scene during our production of Les Mis when the fire alarm went off twice in a row and both the cast and the audience had to gather outside. So yeah, uh, when we finally got back to it, everyone was ten times angrier therefore ten times more drunk.
It’s crazy how hard ensemble works for people to only pay attention to main- which is why I pay attention to the ensemble
Great Comet captures "being smashed with your friends" perfectly because everyone follows each other and acts semi natural while also dancing on point.
i had to do that for our school show like bro im 13 idk how to act drunk 😭
Best part of being in the ensemble
My favorite song of the musical 😂
Naaaaah, you gotta rock back and forth too. Wildly. 😂
Now show up secretly hammered enough to stumble, but you can remember all your lines.
They always look like they’re having the time of their lives and I love it
I did this show this year and I did just that 🤣
Then there is that one actor who is definitely actually drunk but denies it
As a costume designer, that smartwatch is giving me high blood pressure
The price sticker on the bottom is the most accurate part
used that exact cup for my school production- 👹
Can you do one of the, ‘Actors when their mics are on vs off onstage’ for Beetlejuice?
Bonus points if it’s a high school musical with students who have (hopefully) never been drunk.
Me watching this without reading the caption : oh look my mom has that mug
One of the best scenes in Billy Elliot was the Christmas scene where everyone was drunk. We had so many little funny moments here and there 😂👌
thsi is why i get actually hammered before going on stage, no acting required
"We didn't know where we were but we knew that we were hammered"
Watchong people i know in my highschool theatre doing this was absolutely hilarious, because they nailed it and i wish it was recorded for others to watch
They're always aggressive with their movements 😭
Omg I’m in ensemble for a play where we have to be in a tavern and I DONT KNOW HOW TO ACT DRUNK
I’ll always say it. A musical is nothing without its ensemble. I spent the whole show of Book of Mormon just watching the background actors.
I just saw Le Mis for the first time last month and it was like beyond phenomenal!! This was by far my favorite scene
I did Anastasia recently and I was the only person in the cast who was under the age of 19 so when we got to Land of Yesterday, they had me play a barkeep and I remember joking: “Yeah, let the 17 year old serve alcohol!”
Ayy my school just did Anastasia. I LOVED doing land of yesterday
I’m playing eponine in a modern rendition of this, and I think this is the best thing I’ve seen all week.
'Poninee!
I wish you goodluck btww!
(Don't die.....OH WAIT..)
...
Sorry that joke was foul-
lol!! just saw les mis last sunday and this is totally accurate
When someone acts out drunk and you can tell, they have never been drunk before
It’s really funny when they get too into character and break onstage(done this to many times) 😂
i love the ensemble
Why is this accurate tho, Especially when you have to go from Drunk ensemble to featured dancer
Literally how we were instructed to act during this song! My boyfriend was Thenardier so only awesome memories of this show lmao
I’ll be honest its soooooo fun to play ensemble ❤️❤️❤️
Sometimes they're ACTUALLY hammered... No need to pretend
OMG I LOVE THIS MUSICAL THO
just saw a touring troup do this show live... ive love les mis for so long and seeing it live was absolutely amazing! the thernadier was SO GOOD!
Here after god that’s good💀
The duel and the abduction from Great Comet of 1812 jsjsjsksk
I absolutely love it.
It's the best part of the show in my opinion
Me and my friend have sooooo much fun acting drunk
Definitely my favorite part of being in Oliver!😂
I saw this play live last week best day of my life
I honestly think you did a great job
for some reason I read this as "POV: you watch the ensemble in a musical *and* pretend to be absolutely hammered onstage"
This is the best musical in history, so I'm happy it's coming to Australia next year. I'm so going to go to two shows😂
Les miserables was the first musical ive ever saw, and the master of the house plus lovely ladies are my favorite tunes❤
I recently played young Eponine in Les Mis, boy was it hard not to break character watching my friends tumble around the stage acting drunk🤣
It’s funnier when it’s your friend you’re watching and they drink five beers stolen from other people during a wedding song.
And then immediately break into a very cohesive dancing number
broo i love les misearbles!!!!!!
Hadestown every time Persephone is on stage
For this scene I just spun a lot backstage to get myself reasonably dizzy and tried to mimic that feeling throughout the number
In the spring I was in “Our Town” and the town drunk (also the music pastor guy) was played by a really good actor, but as he has tourette’s, roles were hard. He played that dude so amazingly, and when I was less than two feet away from him I just wanted to laugh, he was so good!
Stop I went to see Les mis and I was dying laughing at the ensamble I was crying tbh
It’s even funnier when it’s at your HS!😂
It's so fun to watch the ensemble 😂 I wish I had money to watch every show twice, the second time only for watching the ensemble, lol
One time for a drama exam, a bunch of people in my show group had to pretend to drink and had to act drunk and one girl specifically had such a real performance because her performance technically was real and nobody knew about it😂
master of the house was such a fun a scene to perform when i did les mis
My school did a play adaption of Treasure Island and I am not shitting you the opening scene is a bunch of drunk pirates at a bar singing while wasted. I had the honor to play one of them.
i played clarinet on stage for my high school’s production of Les Mis and having to pretend to be drunk on stage with an instrument was quite the time
