- This 1985 Jeep J10 recently received a 4.10 Nitro Gear & Axle gear package, coming from stock 3.31 ratio, wearing 34" Nitto Trail Grapplers around the 18" Method Race Wheels, lifted on a 4" BDS Suspension Leaf Spring Lift Kit. Regearing made a HUGE difference - Watch & Learn!

You know, I think I'm experiencing the EXACT thing you did. I have an F150 with 34s (4.2) and I think it's a 3.55 gear. I have all the issues you described. I'm DEFO going to 4.10. I hate highway driving for all the reasons you mentioned. I can't feckin keep up with the variations. One small interstate highway hill will knock me from 55 to below 50 and I'm in Miami for god's sake. I can't wait!!!!!
What a difference on xj going from 3.07 to 3.54 made. Pulling under 2000 rpm on highway now with ax15. Gonna regear wagoneer once I get tires on it. The wagoneer is only a 3 speed.

Awesome looking J10! In the process of getting one back on road that's been sitting for years when I purchased it. Are your side mirrors factory or did you install them.
In the video you mention a 4” lift and 34” tires, BUT the description says 35” tires and 6” lift. Love the look, but which set of these numbers are what you have installed in the video?

Thanks Roman! It's got the BW 4 speed still, but we are changing that this year.
I've got a 4.0 HO Head, AX-15 5 Speed, Throttle Body Intake Manifold, Computer, & Wiring to make it work.
Coming soon that tired 258 4.2L will be a stroked 4.6L wearing a 4.0 High, with Overdrive & Fuel Injection!
@@NitroGear nice! Moved to a 383 stroker but with the 400 with no OD. Would love OD but not in budget hahaha. Just put 4.10 gears in and running d44 with d20 case. 35’s going on next week. Moving to body work next!
