Mkhulu Silindza possesses exciting wisdom, and it is insightful to listen to him. I would like some clarity regarding idlozi, as Mkhulu Silindza pointed out that; "it is a spirit without a gender and it possesses people." My question is, am I correct to assume that idlozi is a spirit that has never been a human. In other words, idlozi has never been a human being who once lived on this earth? Is that correct? Because 'ithongo' was a human being that once lived on earth (who was possessed by idlozi) that has passed on and is rested in peace.

In regards to spirits being genderless, u need to note that when spirits enters a female, they adopt the character of the female gender, then if the next inheritor is a man, then the female character will desplay on a man. intime the character of the spirit will change to adopt to the new person, unless the mam enjoys the feminine character

Quite interesting teachings. So where do you pay ilobola of the dlozi? Does it get paid on the same day as the normal lobola? Then when you do umembeso do you dress the dlozis as well? Thokozile madlozi amahle

Thokoza gogo, a very powerful lesson indeed. Thank you for providing such a platform where we can learn and get clarity. My question is that since umuntu inherits idlozi from a grandparent, what happens in the case whereby a parent inherited idlozi from their grandparent but refused to accept the calling or passed away anga thwasanga and now, the child remaining uthola bathi the gift has diverted from parent to child, him/her? I even know of a situation where the parent is still alive but because they refuse to take the calling the child ends up going for initiation and then athi it was the parent that inherited the gift kodwa it ended up diverting to him/her because the parent refused it. My knowledge is that you have your own calling, its theirs that they neglected wena don't worry..remember the same spirit revolves around your family that's why it the similar but not that you taking over their calling, nawe you have your own calling!!!

Thokozo Mkhulu, are you saying the spirit can only be reborn if the person who was using it has already past on.
I'm trying to understand if I cant "inherit" the spirit of my Great grandfather/mother if I was born when they were still alive?
My understanding is that lelo ngithongo leli elikubhekile. If you go to people who do Abalozi devination they always mention some kind of meeting that takes place to decide what will happen with the child. It happens just before conception, this Thongo is the one that will look after you during pregnancy until you die. Therefore this person can never be the one you have lived with. Further to your question in certain times if your parent has a calling and does not answer you, it is possible for that calling to pass down to the kids, however that spirit is not inherited from your parents but from the original Thongo who gave your parents lomsebenzi.

I think it's not a big issue that it have to be lobolad as well, I think it becomes an issue when wena usuthatha umakoti onelidlozi you have to lobola idlozi lakhe as well. Or else njengoba unelidlozi wena mase uthatha umakoti kumele nihlanganiswe
A few people in SA thwasad but they stated thst they don’t consult with people or heal people or have is’godlo sabo.

So what happens if a man is not married to the mother of his children and the children inherit a spirit from mom's side. Because you are not married and are not in a relationship anymore you choose to hlawula and lobola the child so they can use your surname as a man. Does one also lobola the spirit that the child was born with irrespective of not being married to mom?
