They lied because they were rushed, if you haven't followed NMS recently its a completely different game now, constant major updates too. They also just had a huge update last week that changed the game for the better as well.

i praise the creators for triyng something new and diferent but this is definetly not my type of game. the concept simply doesnt apeal to me but i dont wish it to fail. the game still needs a lot of improvements in various aspects.
Fábio Nunes It’s from the original team behind the AC series, so you know the movement will be dynamic and feel great. I think if they keep improving the textures this has loads of potential

It looks so real because there is nothing else onscreen. No hud, no health bar, nothing. Gameplay looks as nice as the cinematics. Congratulations to the developers, making it immersive like that must have been quite a challenge.

For some reason I’m thinking they are ancestors of the Assassins and Templars. Origins is set on 49 to 47 BCE, then Odyssey is set on 432 BCE. Now instead of going back 400 years, it’s now 10,000,000 years. Aya did say the hidden blades are ancient while living in an era that’s ancient to us.

Every human, not just Assassins and Templars, also hidden blades where not prehistoric, I don't think there will be any link in this game to Assassins Creed specifically, the only thing connecting them is the creators of it.

I love the concept but think the execution is off. But I'll be keeping my eye on this.
The branches (actually only the leaves) spawning from nowhere to get the chimp hanging are completely awful. I wish they put the work they need to release this fully finished.

Cool exploration/survival game, though I can imagine all of the external and internal parasites these creatures have from living in the jungle. Ticks, tapeworms, flukes, mosquitoes, etc.

At the beginning i thought I was watching animal planet on crack
Now imagine this game with online with a lobby of 30 odd ppl with an actual anti hack, all animals playable (croc, panther, eagle)
You gain points for kills against each other can group up in parties of 4 and lesser equipped animals like chimps get more points/credits when you leave the lobby
Can spend credits on skins like Albino Croc, or Silver Chimp etc. GOTY right there.
Honestly, this game would benefit more from being a co-op experience than some kind of competitive PvP like most survival games. Evolving to a human is your ultimate goal not bashing everything else that looks at you cross-eyed :P.

that evolution upgrading looks really impressive, looks like a fun chill type of game
Thanks for posting it! The grooming though was not subtle or realistic, the grabbing on to twigs has still not been sorted - it needs to be branches that can take your weight! The egg needs to be smashed open with force like an ostrich egg! And rewatching it, I can see that these twig branches suddenly appear as you drop.
Also, climbing up sheer surfaces is still happening on trees!

This game, if done properly, could be a major game changer!! But it needs to be less gung-ho and more thoughtful and subtle real survival and gritty! Fingers crossed that the game developers will realise this!

At 8:57 if you listen closely you can hear some of the idle noise of the Black Smoke Monster from LOST. Actually, it is rather ominous because in several parts I saw black smoke. If Smokey is in this game this gives a whole new level of danger. Cause there is not a single thing that can stop that.

Don't you love it when you're swinging through the canopy and magical leaves appear from out of nowhere for you to grab onto? It's like the time I arrived at a bus stop and a bus just magically spawned in in front of me, it seems to have been patched out though, it didn't work after I woke up...
This reminds me of the Tarzan (1999) game.
I was excited for this but all the animations are distractingly terrible
