Todd Snider is a legend in my book. I live in North Carolina and his music has touched me and transformed my life in a way I can't quite explain. I am forever in debt to Todd Snider
First time I ever saw Todd. Not the first time I heard him, though. I think I learned what his name was from this performance, and headed to the record store the next day. Thanks for sharing this, Kirk.
Seems to be a very quiet man ...anyway here in Italy we love Todd Snider from the very first time he came to play in our country, it was like 25 years ago..maybe your uncle was touring with him ...
@@joemcleary Hi Joe! I was in Cortemaggiore on May 1996, the name of the club is Fillmore, hope you still remember! Great concert, one of the best, and i saw many concert in that place. Last but not least, the Derek Trucks band!
Wow! Does Todd ever look young here. These days instead of, "Hey Kid, get outa the car!" he sings, "Hey, Old Timer we're gonna have to ask you to step outa the car." And he's wearing shoes!
The Takamine's made at that time were very well crafted instruments, I remember of course Garth playing em, also Sister Hazel, Hootie and all those bands from the mid-late 90s
@@TR-yi8up No definitely not Webb, but the hat is his style. He can accompany himself and handle rhythm but he always has a guitar player in his band to handle the lead work. But great to see a fellow Webb head on here👍😎
So odd watching this. He really didn't have a genre to fit into. Not country, not rock or folk, not really alternative, maybe kinda pop?And he looks like Rob Thomas before Rob Thomas. Glad he finally found his niche. Like he said once, "we were called Americana, which means country music that doesn't make any money".
oh when times were simpler..when they used to bleep out the word "scumbag" and "dope" lol back in '95

He’s so young here, he looks like Russell Howard. 😄
Bash it out, boys! Sounds good to me. Nice solo.

@@cesarelodesani1384 I was in Italy with Todd around 1995. My niece Katherine plays a mean piano now. You should hear it. She's amazing!

I like that they blurr out scum bag
It would offend admirers of scum. Shudders cool.
What was up with everyone playing Takamine guitars in the late 80's and 90's ?
Garth Brooks?

@@abg125 They also had good pickups. "Acoustic pickups" often sucked in those days.
My kinda country rock innit. I wish I could be like Todd Snider. Sort of accidentally cool, despite himself.
Anybody know who the guy with the Strat is? That was a tasty guitar solo.
LightningDogg is it possibly Webb Wilder? I wasn’t familiar with him that far back, but it kind of reminded me of him for some reason

@@jmayuk Definitely Will Kimbrough.

To me, he is very much like a Tom Petty. What genre was he exactly?
