This is such a special performance, one of the most unique and interesting recordings of this I have ever heard. The interpretive decisions you made were such that as I was listening, I couldn't look away. Your four instruments are so different from each other in their qualities that it added color and textural qualities to this piece that caused me to see the possibilities of this piece with fresh eyes. I have never paid attention to the way the instruments blend apart from the various musicians performances, relationship to each other, and the hall they are performing in. It is an aspect that I will now be paying attention to in any ensemble featuring a single instrument.

It is evident that JS Bach Partita #2 was written for cello. This video is the proof.

This is a mind-blowingly amazing performance and arrangement of one the most ingenious pieces of music ever written! Thank you Galvin Cello Quartet for sharing such sublime beauty. I’d love to hear you live one day. Come to Princeton New Jersey!

Beautiful! Thank you! You capture the baroque style of intellectual elegance and in this case artistry - no mean feat!

Absolutely beautiful. All of you are such fantastic musicians who really know how to make your cellos ring. Thank you for such a gift, to be able to enjoy your recording. Please come to Sonoma State University Weil Hall when you are in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Beautiful playing, bravo! As you are all excellent cellists, each with a particular sound, I think it could have been very interesting if the parts would have been more evenly divided. What I mean is that in this arrangement the 1st cellist got 60% of the melody line and this could have been more evenly distributed. This said, bravo to all four of you and I hope to see more of your outstanding work.
