You misunderstood Gandalf (or I misunderstood your presentation of the card). You are not copying your opponents spell but your own spell if a card with matching card type is revealed. Arguably this makes the card a lot better because the synergy should be higher and the outcome is more predictable

I'm not a simic fan as the decks are always the same. This is the first one that has interested me due to the voting. I'll try to focus on that and see how it goes. 😊
Good videos watched all 4 LOTR videos! Found out who the clunkers are. What are some limited to LOTR series recs for replacing those clunkers as mentioned? I am casual and want to keep all 4 of my pre-cons LOTR themed and not blow the budget.
