The trellis was made out of hardwood Tomato stakes for the walls and the roof bamboo stakes.
It was all tied with a simple twine.
The trick is to train the plants along each vertical pole up to the roof then let them scatter across and drop the Long Beans into the shade below.
Starting and growing in quality aged compost makes a difference in plant health and crop production.
Sherly made the Filipino Adobo Pork Belly with.
Garlic, Shallots, Dark Soy, Black Pepper and White Vinegar and of course added our favourite Asian Long Beans.

When can you plant Onions and garlic in Byron Shire
In Sydney I’ve planted seeds in pots before transplanting later at the end of January, with red onions in raised bed still growing strong, which is unusual. Garlic has started in January which is tried to grow late in last years season but have come up early in January, strange again.😊

They are what many call snake beans, aren't they? I've grown them before and they produce well even in the cooler climate down in Melbourne.
